00:10Hello, join us. We have last-minute information. Acting President Delce Rodriguez is offering
00:14statements. Let's listen. Because we know the painful moment that many Venezuelans are suffering
00:25because they lose family member victim of the earthquake. There we are analyzing also the
00:34logistical food and also the support and the activities, recreational activities for kids.
00:43We are giving also sport attention, musical attention, activities that could complement,
00:50that could turn these temporary camps into spaces so as a community we could support and accompany
01:03throughout this information that has been provided by the double earthquakes. An earthquake that here
01:09we were evaluating the technical, making the technical evaluations without precedent here in
01:15the history of our nation but that we need to assume that Venezuela is a seismic country and that is
01:21why
01:21the new households planning and cities' anti-earthquakes could evolve new protocols, national protocols
01:32that could allow us to face situations like this in the future. But those protocols are being studied
01:43by national experts and international experts. We have asked support from countries that have traditions in
01:53this kind of events such as Mexico, that as it has many experts that are well prepared, also Japan, also
02:04Chile. We are
02:05articulating ourselves through our foreign affairs ministry to have support, international support in the
02:15projection of and the construction of these new households that we are going to be building.
02:20I know that it is a moment of pain but also it is a moment of hope in which we
02:27must have faith in God,
02:30faith and hope in the future, that we are not alone. Those who are in those camps are not alone.
02:38I want you to feel
02:40our friendly hand, our accompaniment, our solidarity. Also you have the solidarity of Venezuelans, women and men
02:49who are involved who are involved in this and being solidarity. 29,000 were registered since the double
02:58earthquake in the registry of volunteers to go there and support and organize brigades that were
03:05specialized as well and I sent a letter of congratulations to those Venezuelans, women and men of
03:12good that are showing a new spirituality, that is the spirituality of solidarity, that of knowing that
03:22there is a brother and a sister Venezuelan brother and sister that needs us and that we are in capacity
03:29of possibilities but the most important thing is that we want to help and that is why I want to
03:36thank
03:36volunteers nationwide many young men and women physicians professionals entrepreneurs workers
03:45that they showed up with any tools to go as well to hospitals they offer themselves to incorporate
03:54themselves in the presidential commission for the verification of the habitability of house houses.
04:01This is a country that has been building solidarity in compassion for the other for those who are in need
04:13and I think that this that's the most important spirit of Venezuela that to be reborn to gain strength
04:21that from beneath the rubble there are people that are still having a missing person a missing family
04:29and we are working in the recovery we are still trying to search and to rescue we have an active
04:35point
04:36searching for one person alive wherever whatever there is a person alive we are going to be there
04:42and that is why we maintain still works of search and rescue our civil protection system is activated
04:49our Bolivarian armed forces are activated rescuers national and international are activated as well
04:58one part of that international brigades left the country but there are others that remain on the field
05:04working to project the future to project how we are going how we're going to recover just to
05:15the zones that were impacted by this double earthquake without rest every minute counts for us every hour counts
05:22because we know that there is a minute for hope there's a minute for those who are in the 61
05:29temporary camps that we have activated with practically 17 000 people who are there
05:36and I reiterate to them the whole government national government the venezuelan state is activated
05:44to be there with you to assist you for you can so you can feel a friendly hand hand a
05:53solidarity hand
05:55for there not to be any kind of negative vibes but a government that is willing to help that is
06:01the
06:01intuition and that is the work of the good national government that is the why we are creating this
06:06national this major state to which i also say my whole gratitude and seeing the process of recovery i would
06:13like that that the president of the major state jorge rodriguez makes for us an evaluation of what is
06:21happening in those temporary camps and to listen to us among all of us to listen i know i know
06:30what you're
06:30going through and i have to say you're not going to be alone we are going to be there and
06:37i as acting
06:38president i compromise myself personally that in my daily agenda it will be the presence of the those
06:46temporary camps the attention to our people of our kids of our girls of our elderly people women and men
06:53with integral plans of employment of work of education of recreation and for us to keep moving forward
07:04in conjunction thank you very much acting president effectively almost 17 000 people are distributed in
07:13the 61 camps that are installed in la guayra in caracas and other states that were affected
07:23by the double earthquake and the most important thing to highlight is that these people that arrive
07:30to those temporary camps are highly impacted by the tragedy psychologically we have a t psychological
07:38attendance attentions permanently that we have been intensifying and we have a line a helpline
07:47named zero one for everyone who can have access to psychiatrists to psychologists the most important
07:55thing is to accompany the permanent accompaniment for those who are victims of this in the midst of the
08:01consequences of the tragedy and today regarding the evaluation of today we can say that today
08:08july 8th of 2026 30 311 have died due to the consequences of 17 000 wounded
08:206 000 and 42 people have been rescued from minister robo we have attended 86 794 families attended
08:34over 79 people have remained without home houseless because of partial or total collapses of buildings
08:47856 buildings have collapsed and of them 190 have been totally have totally collapsed
08:57we have distributed one over one million tons of food we have attended as well thousands of patients
09:06through our healthcare network that were put there by the international collaboration we have a number
09:13of rescuers international rescuers of over 4 388 three that over 3 000 military men from our bolivarian armed
09:24forces and police forces municipal and and state and municipal and over 30 000 policemen and also not to
09:38count that we have at this moment deployed in transitory camps in temporary camps that have to assist
09:44the those who have been saved from disaster zone also over 28 000 volunteers have signed up in this task
09:55of
09:55being offering solidarity actions and we are trying to correct as well if there are any obstacles so that
10:03when people get to those camps feel the tranquility that there is a friendly hand
10:11that is what it is and also we are very attentive of food medicines that each person that has a
10:19treatment
10:20an illness can receive their their medical the their medicines elderly people i'm going to ask for the
10:28brothers and sisters that are present in those camps that for for there to be a debate among them of
10:34who
10:35are in greatest vulnerability in a great in a great situation of vulnerability not just of those who have
10:43been affected by the earthquakes but all of those who have had a previously a an economic difficulty we are
10:52giving assistance through the patria system of of an assessment of allocation but we need to know to
11:01identify beneath within the camps as families well to know where there could be a special vulnerability
11:10or a kid with disability so we can know we know kids that that lost their parents you can imagine
11:17the pain
11:18they are going through or the mothers who lost their kids let's make me more and empathetic with the
11:29history of the other so we can go there to those who needed the most so all we all together
11:35can assess
11:36that those who needed the most the president of the major state was saying something very important and
11:43i want to know i want you to know what we are doing in this moment we are at this
11:49very moment with meeting
11:51with experts studying the earth the soil and subsoil and looking for spaces where where we are going to
12:01build up new cities new households and we are locating spaces and we have a group of enterprises and we
12:10have
12:10called national enterprises with expertise and international enterprises with expertise in this matter of
12:20construction aggressive and rapidly of households and that is our objective and that is a strategic for us
12:28it is a fundamental objective for the attention of camps and for that purpose we have to know you know
12:36with a schedule with a schedule on time of how many households we are going to build where are we
12:43going
12:43to build them build them to attend the necessities that have been generated after
