00:01Kinran, the storied lands in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, has been granted permission to
00:06extend its operating hours ahead of its official opening. It will run a summer season from the 18th
00:12of July to the 12th of September, increasing show days from 18 to 57. Opening hours will be extended
00:19to 11pm on weekdays and Sundays, and to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. The Durham County Council
00:26Licensing Committee approved the application from the attraction's operator, Eleven Arches.
00:31The license also allows late-night refreshment until 1am and alcohol sales throughout the year,
00:37including off-sales. One resident raised concerns about noise and traffic impact.
