00:00Most beginner drivers struggle with this parking maneuver, but once you learn one simple technique,
00:04it becomes surprisingly easy. In this lesson, I'll show you a step-by-step method to perform
00:10a perfect perpendicular forward parking safely and accurately. Step 1. Before entering the parking
00:16space, keep your vehicle approximately 2 meters away from the row of parked cars or about one
00:22vehicle width. Drive forward slowly until your left side mirror is aligned with the left side
00:27mirror of the vehicle parked beside the target space. This is your turning reference point.
00:32Stop here and prepare for the next step. Step 2. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left
00:37and move forward slowly into the parking space. As you enter, continuously monitor your left side
00:43mirror, the front corners of your vehicle, and the surrounding clearance. Once your vehicle is fully
00:48inside the parking space, straighten the steering wheel and center the vehicle within the bay.
00:53Your perpendicular forward parking is now complete. With the correct reference point
00:57and steering input, perpendicular forward parking becomes simple, accurate, and repeatable.
01:03Practice this technique until it becomes second nature.
