00:00If the government don't block this by-election, do you think they're playing games?
00:03I think the government has to respond. It has the power.
00:06That's why we are arguing that they should use that power.
00:11Mr Farage is playing games. He's trying to escape scrutiny.
00:14He's trying to escape accountability. He's trying to escape justice.
00:18And this man, who I'm afraid is used to deceiving people,
00:24we need the people of Clacton to know the sort of person he is
00:27and the sort of rules he's broken.
00:30If the forms say you're playing chicken, you don't want to stand in this by-election,
00:34you're afraid of them.
00:36They're completely wrong. It's Mr Farage who's playing chicken
00:38because he doesn't want to face the music with the Commission.
00:41And we're happy if there's a by-election after the Commission has reported.
00:46We'll fight in that by-election.
00:47But this one would be a fabrication because we wouldn't have the truth about Mr Farage
00:52and there'd be a danger there could be two by-elections.
00:55That would be crazy, wouldn't it?
00:56Through our approach, through Chancellor making sure the Commission has to report
01:01first, there'd only be one by-election.
