00:18How strongly did you get that impression? How quickly after you had seen her?
00:23Well, of course, I saw her as she came into the dock. Then I saw her. I didn't look at
00:31her, I must say, hardly at all during the case of the prosecution. Then she came in the witness
00:38box. And of course, I have to look at a witness in the witness box. You know, one of the
00:42things
00:43we have to do is try and make out witnesses telling the truth. You have to observe their
00:47demeanour. And that sort of thing. Of course, I was bound to look at her then. Matter of
00:52fact, she was telling the truth, in most respects, I'm sure. Unfortunately, the truth for her
00:59was fatal.
