Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper says the UK was not involved in US strikes on Iranian targets last night, launched in retaliation against Iranian strikes on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. 00:00Well, the UK is obviously not involved in the operations and in the decisions that they have made.
00:07And obviously what we want is for the talks to continue, the ceasefire to continue.
00:13But I do recognise the US concerns about strikes by Iran on commercial shipping
00:18and on the ships that carry the cargo to the rest of the world.
00:23And that's why I think the focus, the global focus, has to be on putting pressure on Iran
00:28to respect the agreement that they had reached.
