00:00It's an absolutely essential meeting and for us as a Romanian delegation it's also symbolic that we come back to
00:08Turkey after 20 years from our first summit as NATO members in Istanbul.
00:13And it is an essential meeting because NATO is needed now more than ever for its deterrence capacity, for its
00:19collective defense.
00:20And we see an increased interest in supporting the industry and that again on Romanian side is very important as
00:26we are focused on creating jobs and economic growth.
00:29while becoming suppliers on a larger share inside the NATO market.
00:36And on the Romanian side it's also important that we are here today as we share a strong partnership with
00:41Turkey on protecting the Black Sea together.
00:44It's a great host for us today and tomorrow.
00:48The role that Turkey has and Minister Hakan Fidan has in facilitating the conversations also in the Middle East has
00:56been acknowledged through the conversations we had today.
00:59We rely on the partnership with Turkey for a safe Black Sea and that has been instrumental for the world.
01:06Because what we've done together, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, actually also allowed in the last years the flow of grains,
01:14for example,
01:15that has managed to decrease the price of grains in the world in comparison to what would have happened if
01:21we wouldn't have been able to have the solidarity lanes.
01:23When we were hosts of the NATO Industry Forum in Romania last year, we have seen a strong participation from
01:30companies from Turkey and as well that is the case for what we want to build together to create jobs
01:37together in that direction.
01:38And it's also specifically the conversations that I'm having every time I'm meeting with Hakan Fidan are also focused on
01:46what we see for the future, which is a European path for Turkey.
