Gargoyles gets the 5 Minute Drive-In treatment in this fast cut of the 1972 CBS made-for-TV fantasy horror movie.

This dusty monster movie has ancient bones, desert demons, biker suspects, motel attacks, cave eggs, giant winged creatures, and a gargoyle leader who sounds way too ready to replace humanity.

The creature makeup team won a 1973 Emmy, and the monsters still give this strange little TV horror movie its best punch.

5 Weird Fun Facts:
1. Gargoyles first aired on CBS on November 21, 1972.
2. The movie runs only 74 minutes.
3. It was one of Stan Winston’s earliest monster-makeup credits.
4. The makeup team won a 1973 Emmy for the creature work.
5. Scott Glenn appears as biker James Reeger.
