00:03The thing I've got to say about now is there is slime in the reflection pool.
00:09I assume some of you have heard about the reflection pool, this body of water that's there in Washington, D
00:14.C.,
00:14positioned between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.
00:19I've been there almost a hundred years now.
00:21It's a place where people go and sit and be, you know, reflective.
00:24It is a reflection pool and be contemplated or just play in the water.
00:28And, of course, the thing is that we need some maintenance every now and then.
00:32And it turns out our dear omnipotent president, you know, Donald Trump,
00:36in his effort to put his thumbprint over Washington, D.C.,
00:39decided, hey, we're going to drain the water and repaint the bottom in this American flag blue, this dark blue
00:45color.
00:46And, you know, there's some controversy around that about, you know, the color and whether you need it or not.
00:50But they did it.
00:52Got finished recently.
00:53You know, painted it up, put the water back in, and everything's fine.
00:56Except the water's now turned this bright green, which would be appropriate for, you know,
01:01Thanksgiving, St. Paddy's Day, except that's already passed for this year.
01:05So, and, of course, people are kind of wondering, okay, what happened?
01:08How did it get this way?
01:10Well, it turns out there's algae in the water, and the algae is blooming.
01:13You know, it's getting plenty of sunlight.
01:16That blue paint's probably absorbing heat real good.
01:19And, of course, warm up the water, which, in turn, makes it easier for the algae to, you know, bloom
01:23and grow everywhere.
01:24And, of course, you know, people are wondering, okay, how did it get there?
01:27Well, most likely, you know, the pipes that supply water to the pool weren't cleaned out.
01:32You know, so there's probably still algae in them.
01:34Or, quite honestly, stuff could have just blown into the water.
01:38You know, it's got, you know, wide open and all.
01:40And, of course, people at swimming pools probably had to deal with that all the time.
01:44And, of course, there are some people, though, who say the pool was sabotaged.
01:48It's those dastardly Democrats who did it.
01:51Well, maybe.
01:52Of course, my own thinking, I'm kind of wondering, are the Democrats organized enough even to do such a thing?
01:57And, of course, you know, our dear President, Mr. Trump, you know, he's trying his best, trying to make America
02:03great again.
02:04You know, trying to, you know, make the Washington, you know, look pretty.
02:08But, at the same time, there's times I feel like he really is trying a little too hard.
02:11He's just, you know, pushing and shoving and everything.
02:14And, in the process, he kind of misses the mark every now and then.
02:17Especially, you know, like when you order bombing Iran.
02:20Anyway, like I said, my name's Dave.
