00:26or CENTCOM, announced that U.S. forces had completed a new round of strikes across Iran.
00:32According to CENTCOM, U.S. forces struck more than 80 targets, including Iranian air defense systems,
00:40command and control networks, coastal radar installations, anti-ship missile capabilities,
00:46and dozens of Revolutionary Guard naval boats operating near the Strait of Hormuz.
00:51The U.S. military said the operation was carried out in response to recent attacks on commercial
00:57shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran reacted swiftly. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohamed
01:03Bagheer Galiboff accused Washington of committing what he described as major violations of existing
01:10understandings, declaring that the era of bullying is over. Iranian officials also warned they would
01:17take what they called whatever measures are necessary in response to the U.S. military action.
01:22Meanwhile, reports emerged of missile and drone activity across the Gulf. Authorities in Kuwait
01:29reported that air defense systems were activated after hostile aerial threats were detected. Bahrain
01:35also reported missile and drone attacks directed toward areas hosting U.S. military facilities.
01:41Iranian state-linked outlets claimed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, had also shot down
01:49a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone over southern Iran. Explosions were also reported in parts of southern Iran,
01:57including the port city of Sirik, as the latest exchange unfolded. The renewed violence comes during
02:03funeral ceremonies for former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, a period many analysts had expected
02:11would temporarily reduce regional tensions. Instead, the latest military exchanges have renewed fears
02:18that the fragile ceasefire could rapidly unravel. Global energy markets are watching developments
02:24closely. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most critical energy corridors, carrying a
02:30significant share of internationally traded crude oil and liquefied natural gas. Any prolonged military
02:37confrontation in the area could once again disrupt shipping, raise insurance costs, and send energy
02:44prices higher. As both Washington and Tehran exchange warnings, regional governments remain on high
