00:40I feel honored. I feel privileged. I feel all the things like 20 years is a big deal and I
00:46get to be a part of it.
00:47I don't know how to articulate that. Grateful.
00:49How is it going to be the 20th season and adding Vicky to the crew?
00:54Honestly, I love Vicky Gumbelson so much. It's actually bad because she says a lot of really just like crazy
01:03wild things that are a lot of them are like inappropriate.
01:06And I can't she just I can't ever be mad at her. I can't ever be mad at her.
01:11Like she is everything. She's reality television gold. She deserves all the flowers.
01:15She really is when you once you have her to as like part of your cast in your group, you
01:20really understand why she is so magic.
01:24You really do. So having her back has been I think it's been wonderful.
01:27I could sit in a room and just listen to her talk and laugh the whole day.
01:32She makes no sense, you know, but like in the best way.
01:37So I overheard you say that the Trace Amigas are in fact not back together.
01:41No, no, I mean, we're we're we're okay. I mean, you'll watch as the season evolves and there's definitely I'm
01:50in a much better place than I was last year.
01:52But for me right now, I just need to keep it at that at that place.
01:57And, you know, I'm not being mean. I just know what's best for me.
02:00I feel like a lot of times you are like the mediator of the group.
02:04Yeah. Have you had to kind of get through to the Trace?
02:08Oh, well, first of all, I just want to say thank you for saying that because I do feel like
02:11the mediator slash mom of the group.
02:13And ironically, I'm the youngest one. So I just would like to point that out.

02:19But yeah, it's been really not great trying to get through the Trace Amigas.
02:24It's not an easy job. It's a job that I really don't want, honestly, but somehow I've gotten it.
02:30I will say that it'll be very interesting to see Tamra this year.
02:36I think you're seeing a completely different side of Tamra that nobody has ever seen.
02:39And I love that for her.
02:41Are there dynamics weird having one Amiga that you're close with and the other one still on the show filming?
02:48Well, no. You know, I don't know. You'll see. Yes.
02:52Sometimes it's awkward and sometimes it's uncomfortable.
02:55And it definitely plays out this season.
02:58Is that, like, a choice for you? Because, like, personally, I, if somebody wrongs me, like, to keep them out
03:05of your life, like, do you have advice for people who are, like, so willing to, like, have friendships that
03:10maybe, like, aren't the best of them?
03:12Well, you know, I had to sit and analyze a history. And there were certain patterns that continued to repeat.
03:18And at some point, if you keep going back, the same thing is going to happen and you can only
03:22believe in yourself.
03:23So I took a hard look at certain things. And for my happiness, I've never been in a happier place.
03:30So I want to keep things where they are.
03:33So you would like to pursue a friendship with talent?
03:36Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. I think life is too short to hold grudges.
03:42Oh, I love Vicky. She's, Vicky, it depends on the day. I think we like each other today. We're going
03:49to find out.
03:50And then how are you doing the tap?
03:53Well, we're standing next to each other right now.

04:05to be surprised by the season. It's a good season.
04:08Last year was dark and, you know what, we needed this season. And I think all of us kind of
04:15came together in a way that it's a good, it's a good season 20.
04:25I feel like I have built really good relationships with everyone. Obviously, in the trailer, you see that Vicky and
04:33I aren't on the best of terms. But I'm hopeful that that will change.
04:37Maybe add the range.
04:39It probably will be one of those things that like gets worse before it gets better.
04:51When this first aired, did you watch it?
04:55You know what? I can't remember if I watched those initial years. I watched years early on. I remember Vicky
05:04back in those times. I can remember that.
05:07And it's so crazy to think like we stand here today. It's wild.
05:12So I want you to spell a season one secret that you don't think fans know about.
05:17Oh, my goodness. Well, season one secret, there was a lot of alcohol that I was consuming during my interviews.
05:27That may have been apparent. But in my head, it wasn't because none of it was on camera.
05:33But when I watched back those season one interviews, I was like, oh, baby Joe, she was so buzzed.
05:39And like the majority of her interviews, it was like the hair coming down, the like, you know, shiny face.
05:46Like, I really just wanted to like do her hair and makeup. Poor girl.
05:50When you think of season one, is there one more memory that comes to mind?
05:55Absolutely. Kimberly Bryant's yoga Pilates body. I mean, the body was tea. The boobies were like up perky.
06:06And she was literally my dream bod back then. And also just goals because she really did teach me how
06:13to be a housewife.
06:13Like I call her my Yoda because she did teach me how to become a lady of leisure then because
06:18she let me know I was doing it all wrong.
06:20Like we don't cook. We don't clean. Joe, we spa. We, we lunch. So I love her for that.
06:34I love that it's speaking of your bestie, Tika. Oh, that's right.
06:37And her wedding planning. Are you going to be a part of it?
06:39Are you going to be a bridesmaid?
06:41Well, I better be. If I'm not like right there next to her, there's going to be a serious problem.
06:46She's going to be a bridesmaid.
06:48I mean, honestly, that's such a funny, interesting question because I know she keeps saying that, but I don't even
06:52know if I'm going to actually have bridesmaids.
06:54I have so many children that have to be up there, but if anybody is going to be up there,
06:59it's going to be on line.
07:00What would you plan if she tasked you with planning a bachelor?
07:05Okay. Well, first of all, it would have to be something ridiculous because she doesn't do anything just like, she
07:09doesn't want to like sit at a dinner and wear a fancy dress and have flowers and champagne.
07:13She would want like something where we had to wear ridiculous costumes or dress up like eighties rock stars or
07:19something or wear a beard or something.
07:21So I would have to have the conversation and then figure out what nutty things she wants to do.
07:27Your bestie Emily says that she wants to plan your bachelorette party.
07:32Oh, I'm not surprised. She like wants to plan everything. She loves planning and she's good at it.
07:37She can plan anything she wants for me. I hate planning. We're very opposite.
07:46So the question on the street is what's going on with Next Gen LA?
07:50Oh, well, I don't know. I think Frances Berwick is around here somewhere.
07:55Maybe we should ask her.
07:58But I mean, all I can say is I am I allowed to say anything about that?

08:05Oh, well, I may have seen some filming and it may have been epic.
08:12People say it got scrapped.
08:14What does that mean?
08:15That it was going to happen and then something happened and now it's nothing.
08:18That's not what I heard.
08:24I've been on a little more seriously, but I wanted to ask you about your son and how he's doing.
08:28And just your entire family.
08:29Because I know last season you want to move and jump about struggling with dealing with that.
08:33And just kind of how it's going.
08:35Luke is doing better.
08:37He goes to a new school now, which has been amazing.
08:40It really it's really great for his needs.
08:43So that's made a huge difference at home.
08:45Shane and I, I think, are parenting him better because we have a better understanding of his diagnosis and like
08:52what types of issues that he's dealing with.
08:54So we've had to really alter our parenting.
08:57It's not easy.
08:58It's still a challenge every day with him.
09:01But I think, you know, we've come together as a family and we just rally around him and make him
09:08feel good about himself every day.
09:10And he's doing a lot better.
09:12I wanted to ask you about your bestie, Teddy, and how she's doing.
09:15Oh, Teddy.
09:16You know what?
09:17She's doing the best that she can.
09:18She's still going through treatment.
09:20The good thing is, is the treatment's keeping the cancer at bay.
09:25You know, the negative part of it is she's still on treatment, which makes her feel lousy.
09:32And, you know, we're hoping in the next 10 months she'll be able to get off treatment and, you know,
09:38just be healthy.
09:41All we want is for her to be healthy.
09:43I mean, just watching one of your really good friends go through something like this and given basically six to
09:50nine months to live.
09:51And she was like the 1% that treatment is working on her.
09:56You look at your friendships differently.
09:58At least I do.
09:59And it's kind of like, you know, you never know what tomorrow holds.
10:04And when it comes to it, like friendships and loved ones mean everything.
10:22Oh, Sierra.
10:24Definitely Sierra.
10:25I mean, she was the hottest.
10:28I think she's like the hottest woman on reality television, like pre-scandal, you know?
10:33So obviously she should get all of the flowers for all of it.

10:41Cause I think she had like a glow up, but also like a, like an economic up, like just all
10:47aspects of her life.

12:43And I didn't know, nor did I have an inkling, that he had an orange in the back of his

12:55And I, as God as my witness, I had no idea that he was going to offer me that orange
13:01for season 20.
13:03And I was just happy with the girls' trip.
13:05I was just happy that Bravo didn't forget about me.
13:07I had been off full-time for four years.
13:09I was two years on as a friend, and I hated that.
13:14I was thinking, can you do a show like this?
13:16You've got to know what's going on.
13:18And when I came in and out of these different scenes, I didn't know what was happening.
13:22So it was very difficult for me.
13:23I said, I'm never doing the friend thing again.
13:25Either I'm in or I'm out.

13:28Just, you know, don't be so adamant about it.
13:31I'm like, I just don't want to be a friend.
13:33I just, you know, I started this thing.
13:37Anyway, he handed me the orange.
13:39I didn't know how to drive that.

13:46I said yes to the ultimate girls' trip, which I, by the way, those of you may or may not

13:51were airing next month.
13:52But I had two shows back-to-back, plus code of insurance.
13:55So I was a little busy.
13:56This is going to be a leader.
13:57And I hurt my knee in January, so I didn't have time to do surgery.
14:01But Ryan, wherever you are, you encouraged me to go to the surgery.
14:05So those are the things that I put on the back burner because I was doing two shows, you know.
