00:14Mr. Secretary, what's your reaction to FIFA reversing the record suspension after fresh
00:23you want to ask me about FIFA? It was a bad decision. They shouldn't even be reviewing these things on
00:32slow motion.
00:33It should be reviewed in live action. I think it was the right decision to reverse it.
00:37And if you're Belgian, why would you want to play a game and win a match, and then you win
00:41this match,
00:42and then everyone will argue you didn't really win it because their leading scorer was not on the pitch during
00:47the match.
00:48So, it's kind of unusual because generally speaking, if you're playing, you want the other side to be at its
00:54best
00:54so that your victory is not tainted in that way. So I think it was the right decision, obviously,
00:58there's a lot of drama around it and so forth, but I think it was the right decision to reverse
01:02it
01:02because that decision initially, from everyone I've heard, I'm not an expert, I don't claim to be an expert on
01:09soccer,
01:09but from everyone I've heard that knows about this, they all say that the guy's head wasn't even looking down,
01:16it wasn't like he knew where he was stepping. So look, maybe turning into an international incident,
01:21I don't know, maybe we'll bring it up at NATO tomorrow over there with the Belgians and everybody else,
01:25but I just hope the match will go on, everyone will be at full strength, and the winner will be
01:29the winner.
01:30And that is Belgian, they have a very good team, you know, they'll move on and they can say they
01:33beat the U.S.
01:33at full strength at home. And that will be a big victory, like what you saw the U.K. do
01:37last night,
01:37on the road to Mexico, in a very tough environment, so, okay?
01:42Thank you. Thank you.
01:43Ditto.
01:44And we should have had to get you out of here tonight.
