Marcoleta may stay 2 days in hospital before jail transfer

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla on July 6, 2026, says Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, 72, may need two days for a complete medical assessment at the Philippine National Police General Hospital before his transfer to the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas. The arrest warrant for Marcoleta was released on July 5. Marcoleta went to the Sandiganbayan the next day to file a motion to quash the plunder charges which was denied by the anti-graft court.
