Following a long hike, Abby decided to play a game of fetch with her adorable Golden Retriever. She kept throwing the ball into the reservoir so her pup could get cleaned up before hopping in the car.
"My dog has always been nervous around ducks, and I unintentionally threw the ball right as a mama duck and her babies appeared from behind a tree," Abby told WooGlobe. "I know he'd be scared and grab his ball and come straight back, but the mama duck chased him to make sure he didn't bother her babies.
"After they were gone, I felt safe to throw the ball again, but the mama duck beelined back over to my dog and chased him out of the water again."
