The couple who made global headlines after scaling New York’s Empire State Building has been released under court supervision following their appearance in a Manhattan court. Angelina Nikolau, 33, and Ivan Kuznetsov, 32, are charged with reckless endangerment, burglary, criminal mischief, and other offenses after allegedly entering restricted areas and climbing to the top of the iconic skyscraper, where Kuznetsov proposed. Since the charges are not eligible for bail, the judge ordered their supervised release as the case continues. After leaving court, the couple smiled, held hands, and drew attention from onlookers before embracing and sharing a long kiss outside the City Hall subway station. They declined to discuss the planning of the stunt, saying they needed time to rest after spending the night in custody. Their next court appearance is scheduled for August 24, while investigators continue pursuing the case.
