00:00I'm here on a cotton farm at Blackville in northern New South Wales and the reason
00:05I've come out here today to be around these modules is to catch up with cotton grower Bruce
00:10Menny. He's been named as a cotton grower finalist of the year. I've come to see what he's up to.
00:16It's a very challenging plant to grow, particularly in our conditions. Quite cold at the early part
00:21of the season and being dry land we've got a very finite planting window. So getting it
00:28established is always a challenge. Getting it out the ground seems to be a challenge and then after
00:33that it seems to change into something that doesn't want to go away. I love the industry, I love the
00:37support of the industry and then the grading aspect of it as well on the fibre just adds a whole
00:42new
00:42piece to it. Having it done is quite an achievement and then for us we like to go in with
00:47a double crop
00:48to wheat if possible. So it's changing tack from picking cotton to planting wheat. I like that,
00:56I like the urgency of it.
00:58I like that.
00:58I like that.
00:59I like that.
01:00I like that.
01:00I like that.
01:00I like that.
01:01I like that.
01:01I like that.
01:01I like that.
