03:28The winner of the Goulet Brothers' Dragula will headline the upcoming Dragula World Tour,
03:32receive a $100,000 grand prize, courtesy of us, and the title of Dragula, the world's next drag super monster.
04:08I'm so excited to make it to the final four.
04:11Going home second on season three, I never would have thought I'd be here and to finally be sitting here
04:16doing this really doesn't feel like the book is closed yet.
04:48We did it.
04:50It's their winner.
04:51From day one, I obviously came here envisioning myself in the top three very clearly.
04:55And I was confident with what I brought, but I honestly didn't know, but now that I'm here, I've never
05:01been more, I've never been so motivated to do drag than this moment right here.
05:06I think it's very important that I'm here. I think it's very important that I'm here and I just hope
05:10that it just like gets the messages across.
05:12I think everyone in this top four deserves to win. I think every single one of us has worked so
05:17hard to get to where we are and represents a different group of people. So I don't know. I really
05:23don't know.
05:23How does it feel for y'all to like compete previously and then compete again and make it this far?
05:30Oh, I'm like over the moon right now. This is all I've ever wanted. Obviously going home second on season
05:35three, it's a real big blow to your psyche as like an artist.
05:38So to be able to come back and redeem myself in the way of like this, making it all the
05:42way to top four, like I have like no words. I'm just like completely overfilling with excitement right now.
05:48Fuck yeah.
05:49What about you?
05:50I am at the point of just like overstimulated right now, actually. I don't know. It's just like the people
05:58that come back for like things like this don't ever make it this far.
06:01Y'all are something special.
06:02I'm not gonna like get into like a sob story or anything, but I went through a lot of shit
06:08in my entire life. At some point at a very young age, I decided that it was me against the
06:13world.
06:14And for a long time, I was like, I don't deserve for anything good to happen to me. And now
06:20this is happening. It's like so fucking weird.
06:24Yeah, yeah. Fuck you guys.
06:30It's a lot to take in. And I'm like, I can't express like my gratitude enough.
06:35I'm like screaming on the inside that I've made it this far.
06:39I honestly didn't think that I was going to be allowed to make it this far.
06:43I've already given two chances and I failed them both.
06:46And now I've hit it this far and I can't believe that it's actually happening.
06:51I'm so happy.
06:54You're officially the crybaby.
06:56I know.
06:59I love you all.
07:00Oh, very much.
07:01I think for anyone that's like second guessing any part of any move that they make in their life, just
07:07do it.
07:09Just go with your first instinct because there might not be another one.
07:15I don't know how they would have been able to pick three out of the four of us, but it
07:19sucks to suck because now they've got to pick one out of four.
07:22Honestly.
07:23We all like put up such a good fight.
07:25Yeah.
07:25It just wouldn't have felt right with any of us leaving.
07:28Honestly.
07:28They literally couldn't choose.
07:30It's almost too hard to compare.
07:33Drag is art.
07:34Art is subjective.
07:35We're not judging you based on like your drag.
07:37You know the whole line, huh?
07:38Yeah.
07:39She watches the show every goddamn day.
07:42I watch the show.
07:42Thank you very much.
07:43I will say though that this is such an incredibly talented group and everyone is so professional and so elevated.
07:53I'm confident that no matter who wins, they're going to do a good job and they're going to represent the
07:58brand well.
07:59And so any one of us that wins, I'm fine with it because it was deserved.
08:03Oh, yeah.
08:04I think I speak for all of us.
08:06I think you speak for all of us when you say that.
08:09And I did.
08:11And I...
08:13Shit.
08:14All right.
08:15The last one, y'all.
08:16Hey, this is it.
08:17This is it.
08:36Our finalists, welcome to the final challenge of the Belay Brothers' Dragula season four.
08:44Yes.
08:45You have all fought well in your battle for the crown and you have earned the highest honor of any
08:50who have competed before you.
08:52No matter what happens next, you have made us proud and we are thrilled to welcome you into our army
08:57of monsters.
08:59For your final challenge, you will be conceptualizing and creating three distinct looks and three distinct floor shows based on
09:07the tenets of Dragula.
09:12You are to use every resource and skill available to you to create your ultimate floor show.
09:20As always, we don't just want you to construct incredible costumes, we also want you to inject each look with
09:27who you are as a drag icon.
09:29We want to see a bit of you in everything you do.
09:32That being said, you can't just win on looks alone.
09:36For your glamour floor show, you will need to design and choreograph a lip sync performance to change the paradigm
09:43by Astra.
09:45Again, while your look is important, your ability to perform in front of a live audience may be even more
09:50important and will factor into our final decision.
09:55Outside of your three floor shows, you will also be joining us as a special guest for a live recording
10:01of our hit podcast show, The Boulay Brothers' Creatures of the Night.
10:08Where you'll be interviewed for a special segment on an upcoming episode.
10:14After you complete your floor show's performance and interview, we will make our final decision and we'll crown one of
10:20you,
10:20the winner of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula Season 4.
10:24And you will become the world's next drag super monster.
10:32We now anoint you with the blessing of filth, the freedom of drag, the power of glamour, and the terror
10:43of horror in preparing for these last looks.
10:47Go now and good fortune in your final tournament.
11:02Now from Hollywood, California, the horror capital of the world, the Boulay Brothers, Creatures of the Night.
11:22Welcome, uglies, to a very special episode of the Boulay Brothers' Creatures of the Night.
11:27I am your ghost host, Swan Thula, and joining me, as always, is the mistress of the macabre, my sister
11:33in crime, Drachmorda.
11:35Drachmorda, darling, how are we tonight?
11:36I am doing fantastic and I am so excited that we are here on the set of the Boulay Brothers'
11:41Dragula Season 4
11:43and that we are about to interview our top four competitors of the season.
11:47Do you think they're nervous?
11:49I'm sure they're nervous.
11:50They should be if they're smart.
11:51Very hard-hitting questions for them.
11:54Because as we've said so many times this season, it takes way more than an ugly face and a hideous
11:59costume to win Dragula.
12:00You have to be a great performer and you also have to be able to represent the brand in interviews
12:04just like this one.
12:05Right.
12:05So I'm curious to see how they'll do.
12:07Me too.
12:08And on that note, I'm going to welcome our co-host and the supervising producer of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula.
12:13He is our Sith apprentice, our eyes and ears, our cohort in corruption.
12:18I'm talking about Ms. Ian DeVogler.
12:20Ian, welcome to the show.
12:21Ooh, thank you.
12:22Curious, corruptible, lover of all boys, corpulent.
12:25Sounds about right.
12:27So now everyone knows our dirty little secret that while we're talking, you're actually just sitting there on mute the
12:33whole time.
12:34It's true.
12:34Really, it's just me sitting there like this the entire time.
12:37Secrets revealed.
12:39The first of many.
12:40Well, how exciting is it that we're here on the set of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula Season 4?
12:44They're so spoiled.
12:45Like, this is fierce.
12:47The Season 4 competitors have it nice.
12:50And it kind of feels like a little witch school, which I live for.
12:53Oh, totally.
12:54I like to think that I'd be the class clown, but I would definitely be the class slot.
12:57But, you know, that's to be debatable.
12:58She can't resist.
13:01She can't resist.
13:02Our first guest is no stranger to all things Dragula and is a top four finalist from the Boulay Brothers'
13:07Dragula Season 4 and has also previously competed on the Boulay Brothers' Dragula Season 3, as well as the Boulay
13:14Brothers' Dragula Resurrection, which she won, I might add.
13:17Please welcome Saint.
13:19Hello.
13:20So, Saint, do you just like competing or what?
13:22I mean, this is like your third season.
13:24I mean, directors had to take 20 minutes.
13:25Like, she was with us on the third season.
13:27She came back on the fourth season.
13:28How does it feel to be competing again?
13:31Oh, my God.
13:32It feels like, it feels nuts.
13:33Just because, like, you go home early on the season, you're sitting around, you're trying to figure out, like, what's,
13:38like, your next move.
13:39I felt, like, defeated and stuck in the place that I was in, but only for a little bit.
13:43After I got over it, I was just like, all right, well, I still have a platform behind me.
13:47Yeah, so I just kind of kept growing and, like, perfecting what I did.
13:50So, how does this experience on Dragula Season 4 compare to Resurrection?
13:55Resurrection, I feel like, was the validation.
13:57And then, like, now I'm validated.
13:59I'm here.
13:59I'm 100%.
14:00I don't feel like Saint 2.0.
14:02I feel like Saint perfected.
14:04Ooh.
14:05After you won Resurrection, you felt like you were representing kind of, like, black, alternative, queer people.
14:09Like, can you tell us about that?
14:10So, after winning Resurrection, a lot of people had seen themselves in me.
14:14So, coming into the competition this time, I felt like I had a lot of pressure just because I'm, like,
14:19if I'm going to be your champion, I want to be the best.
14:22You should feel proud even right now.
14:23Yeah, it really made me feel like the sky's the limit.
14:26So, Saint, I want to ask you the money question.
14:28Come on.
14:29Why should you win?
14:30The first time I had seen the call for Dragula, I was like, that's me.
14:36I've been, like, an outcast.
14:37I feel like I'm everything Dragula represents.
14:39I'm the freaks.
14:41I'm all of the freaks.
14:44You know that's a badge of honor in this house.
14:46It is.
14:47And I feel like I wear it proudly every single time.
14:49$100,000?
14:50That's a lot of fucking money.
14:51Oh, baby.
14:52What would you do with it?
14:53I think I would find a place to settle down and, like, anchor myself.
14:56Maybe get a couple drag childrens for future seasons.
14:59Do you have your eye on someone that you want to get you pregnant to have these drag children?
15:04Or is that still...
15:04She said, get you pregnant, girl.
15:08We'll settle down, drag children at home.
15:10It sounds very, like, you know...
15:12Sounds hot.
15:14No.
15:14You are about to perform your grand finale floor shows.
15:18Let's talk about the looks a little bit.
15:19So let's talk about your horror look now.
15:21Like, what's the general idea and what inspired it?
15:24My drag has always been a love letter to my, like, childhood that I didn't get to have.
15:28I didn't really get to have, like, a lot of, like, imagination.
15:31So I'm deciding to do the tooth fairy for mine.
15:34I always thought that was just so bizarre that there's this weird fairy that comes and collects teeth.
15:39I really like to craft a lot of things out of, like, junk.
15:42So for the wings, I just use hangers and saran wrap.
15:45Not to undersell it, but, like, yeah, it's mainly made out of, like, craft materials.
15:49Okay.
15:50The final look is glamour, and it is a lip sync performance challenge.
15:54And you have gotten some critiques this season about your performance.
15:58How are you feeling about it?
15:59Outside of here, things that perform are more ethereal and, like, more slower movement.
16:05I think I've maybe, like, lended myself too much to that.
16:09But, you know, I'm going to turn it out because I need a crown and $100,000.
16:13Well, listen, Saint, thank you for putting so much work into everything that you did this season.
16:18Good luck.
16:18We're very excited to see what you do in the final floor shows a little later this week.
16:22Goodbye.
16:22Bye.
16:23See you across services.
16:25And joining us next is the seductive Miss Sigourney Beaver.
16:30Welcome to the show.
16:32Hey.
16:32You're a high femme presenting AFAB performer.
16:35The world of competition hasn't really seen that before.
16:37And if people don't know what that means, then they should go fucking look it up.
16:39Because I'm not here to educate you, but I am here to ask you,
16:42Is this a question or a statement?
16:43What do you think that would mean?
16:44What do you think it would mean for the community if you won?
16:46It's hard to say because I'm just one person that happens to be part of a community.
16:51And they did not vote for me to be the one to come and step up and be the face
16:55of it.
16:56Or to represent.
16:57But I think being here is going to change a lot of things outside of this and competition settings.
17:04I'm hoping that maybe it will bring attention to, like, a lack of bookings that these performers might experience.
17:10I'm hoping that maybe it'll change the way shows are cast.
17:13And it's interesting to look at our top four and how non-traditional all of you are.
17:18I love it.
17:19You know, it shows what that the world of drag is more than what people think it is.
17:23And it's not that it's changing, even though it is.
17:25It's always kind of been that way.
17:26Yeah.
17:26Yeah.
17:27Absolutely.
17:27Yeah, just something that hasn't really had, like, a spotlight to shine onto it.
17:31And it makes me even more proud to be part of this very, very diverse top four.
17:37Because I think that it very clearly showcases the type of drag that Dragula wants to show.
17:44Why do you think you, Sigourney Beaver, should win this season?
17:47I think that I should win because I bring a little bit more to the table.
17:52I bring experience.
17:54My hope would be, with a win, that it could really bring a lot of different types of drag
17:59together that usually don't get along.
18:02And ultimately, isn't that what we want, is, like, more drag and, like, better drag?
18:06For sure.
18:07Certainly better.
18:09So going into the finale, obviously, Sigourney, you have proved you can tackle glamour in spades.
18:14But I will say, you have tripped up just a little bit on some of the filth and horror aspects.
18:18So what is your game plan for making sure that your filth and horror floor shows are on par with
18:23glamour?
18:24I'm very confident going into the other two categories that are outside of glamour
18:28because I'm still bringing a glamour aspect to it, which is something that I do with all of my drag.
18:34Because that's what I like to do.
18:35I'm going to do what I want to do, but I can do it for you in a way that
18:39you want that's still me.
18:41Can you tell us a little bit about your filth look and what it's inspired by?
18:43I'm really freaked out by, like, oils and, like, bubonic plague and just, like, weird, like, skin things and, like,
18:49pus like that.
18:50So I'll be doing a bunch of prosthetic zits and boils and we'll be popping and snacking.
18:55Ooh.
18:56I love that.
18:58That sounds interesting.
18:58And so let's talk about your horror look.
19:00What's the general idea and what inspired it?
19:03Wee!
19:04So I've always really been into, like, the mad scientist kind of vibe.
19:09So I've recreated an oldie but a goodie, but it's a giant, like, lab coat gown and it's got some
19:16beautiful vinyl gloves and just, like, black vinyl accessories all over.
19:21And, you know, it's science, so you've got to have the hair up and out of the face.
19:25Safety first.
19:27Yeah.
19:28Listen, we're going to let you go because you have a lot of work to do still, obviously.
19:31But we want to wish you all the luck in your floor shows and we cannot wait to see what
19:35you bring to the stage.
19:36Okay, later, tater.
19:38Bye.
19:39Up next, we're joined by a competitor who has competed on season two of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula as well
19:44as the Boulay Brothers' Dragula Resurrection and is back for more in season four.
19:49Please welcome Dali.
19:51Hi.
19:52So we're going to go all the way back to season two, right?
19:55Everything's going really well.
19:57In the span of, like, a few hours, it seemed like everything kind of went to hell.
20:01And you almost sort of self-exterminated, right?
20:04My head started to leave my body.
20:06And my body wanted to stay, but my head was like, you got to go, girl.
20:10You got to leave.
20:11Get out before it's too late.
20:14I was holding myself very accountable for it.
20:17It haunted me for so long because I was like, this is supposed to be, like, the one thing that
20:21I'm doing on my own that I should be proud of.
20:23Yeah.
20:23And how long did that go on for?
20:25Like, how long did you think about that?
20:26Until Resurrection.
20:27Wow.
20:27And even after Resurrection, I still thought about it.
20:30Really?
20:30Uh-huh.
20:31Because St. Juan, and I was like, oh, so that's great.
20:33Love that.
20:34I immediately ran to my room and started bawling.
20:37I was like, eh, I did it again.
20:40And I just heard my roommates from the other room screaming.
20:43They're like, Jay, Jay, you came back.
20:45You came back.
20:46You're awake.
20:46I was like, what does it mean?
20:48That's amazing.
20:49Oh, my God.
20:50I love that that happened.
20:51Like, it's such a magical moment.
20:53What do you say to people who are watching this show who only see drag a certain way?
20:56This person has a mustache and they don't have a bra on.
21:00You know what I mean?
21:00Who are you?
21:01Right.
21:02Who died and made you the dictator of what art is?
21:04Yeah.
21:04Every art form is going to evolve.
21:06When they start putting limitations on things, that's not art anymore.
21:09I'm non-binary.
21:10And I tell people all the time that message me that you can just do whatever you want.
21:14Like, your gender, your assigned body, like, if you choose to stay with, like, default settings, that's all on you.
21:20But, like, that has nothing to do with the character you put on stage.
21:24Well, something I love, you said this before, that your drag character, like, is just completely non-sexual.
21:30And you think it's, like, funny when people kind of sexualize that character.
21:33And it gets sexualized so often now.
21:35I'm like, baby.
21:36Well, I understood it in the past because you were a little slutty.
21:43So, here you are at the grand finale.
21:46I know.
21:46So, talking about your filth, what is your concept?
21:49Because I've heard a little bit about it.
21:50I feel like this is kind of mind-blowing.
21:52My goal with this filth is to basically make the viewer feel filthy.
21:58Not necessarily me just being gross, but, like, them watching it and being entertained by it makes them feel really
22:04bad.
22:05I love that.
22:05I like that, too.
22:07But it's going to be, like, a very, kind of like an Emmett Kelly, like, raggy clown, total, like, just
22:12greased-up pervert.
22:14Well, I don't want to push you any more on that because I actually want to be surprised.
22:16Yeah, yeah.
22:17It's going to be a good one.
22:17I want to know about your glamour look and what you have planned, but also how you're feeling about performing.
22:21I know that I pull a lot of inspiration for my drag from, like, death and decay and things.
22:26So, for my glamour, I'm going very clean and I'm about celebrating life for this one.
22:31The shade of red I'm using for my entire, like, gown and everything is actually the same shade of red
22:36as my retroviral that I take every day for HIV.
22:38But I need people to see that I take a pill every day.
22:42It's just like a vitamin.
22:44I live a very beautiful, healthy life.
22:46So, for the people that are, like, you know, scared or have, like, the wrong idea or think this is
22:50some kind of death sentence, I need to show them, like, I'm alive and I'm a big ray of fucking
22:55sunshine.
22:57All right, well, Dolly, thank you for being here.
22:59And we're going to let you go because I know you have a lot of work still to do.
23:01And we are really looking forward to your final floor show.
23:04Thank you so much.
23:05All right, we'll see you soon on the stage.
23:09Please send help.
23:11All right, our final guest today is our first competitor from South Korea.
23:15Please welcome Hoso Teratoma.
23:19Well, congratulations again on making it to the top four.
23:22I know that you've been a fan of the show, but here you are.
23:25You've had this experience, and I want to know how that's been for you.
23:28Again and again and again, it just feels like such, like, a full circle moment.
23:33Yeah.
23:33The moment I saw Zochi's witch floor show that episode.
23:37And I was, like, horrifying.
23:38And I was, like, I want to look like that.
23:40I want to look like my drawings.
23:41So I kind of want to shift the topic to something more serious, if you don't mind.
23:45And I kind of want to talk to you about your journey and your battle with cancer.
23:50I'm a very, like, immune-compromised person.
23:52I've always been.
23:53And when the doctor said to my face, hey, you have cancer.
23:56Is stage three going into stage four is pretty serious?
23:58You need to, like, treat it, like, right now.
24:00I was like, you know what?
24:01I'm going to do this thing.
24:02I'm going to power through this.
24:03I'm going to do whatever it takes to get better so I can do drag again.
24:07Actually, season three of Dragula got me through a lot of the chemotherapy.
24:11And now I'm here.
24:12It's such a crazy fucking thing.
24:14We're all very happy that you're here.
24:16Oh, absolutely.
24:16Well, trying to bring things back a little bit to kind of your drag,
24:20you have made it a point to include references to your own culture multiple times this season.
24:25You know, why do you feel like it's important for you to do that?
24:27I'm super glad to, like, actually represent that.
24:29And I hope this inspires a lot of, like, international ghouls and, like, Asian ghouls to, like, audition for this
24:37show.
24:37That I was, like, I was able to do this well, presenting myself and my culture in this platform.
24:42Yeah.
24:43Oh, it's so exciting.
24:45You are about to compete in the grand finale of your very favorite show.
24:48Yes.
24:49So I want to know how you're going to be approaching these floor shows.
24:52And we want details.
24:53So let's talk about your inspiration for horror.
24:57The horror look, I've planned the moment I finish chemotherapy.
25:01I'm going to have all these, like, tumors and, like, faces growing out of me.
25:04My gown is like a pageant gown silhouette but made out of hospital gown.
25:09And I have an IV pole with IV tubes plugged inside of me.
25:13I'm preparing a chemo diary that sums up, like, my experience in chemotherapy.
25:18My performance is going to be reading it on stage.
25:21It's going to be very emotional.
25:23To me, it's almost like a healing ritual.
25:25Oh, yeah, absolutely.
25:26And so, finally, we have filth.
25:29I know a little bit about your filth.
25:31And it's something that, I mean, I feel personally very strongly connected to as well as an Asian person.
25:35Like, what's your filth look?
25:36So my filth look is going to be a representation of how me and a lot of Asian American and
25:42Asian folk
25:42feels when they're met with a Western gaze on our culture, basically, especially, like, going into this corona pandemic.
25:51A lot of us were faced with that hate face-to-face.
25:54So that I felt so personally disgusted by.
25:57There was just no other option for me.
25:58This was what I wanted to do.
26:00So my garment is almost like an old comic, like a racist comic cartoon character.
26:05I want to make it as over-exaggerated as possible.
26:08So I'm displaying how ugly and ridiculous this can be.
26:13Wow.
26:13I'm excited to see this floor.
26:15I'm excited to see all of your floor shows.
26:17Yeah, I'm so fucking excited.
26:18Well, it sounds like you have a lot of work to do still.
26:20Oh, absolutely.
26:21So we're going to let you go.
26:22See you on the stage soon.
26:24Thank you so much, guys.
26:25Of course.
26:25It's been so fun.
26:26It's such a pleasure.
26:27It really is.
26:28I was excited before, but after all of that, I mean, I feel like we are literally going
26:32to see like four titans clash.
26:34This is going to be really hard.
26:35It's going to be really good.
26:36Because it's not only the drag that they're bringing, it's what they each represent.
26:40Yeah.
26:41It's how important it is to each of them.
26:43It's going to be so hard to judge this.
26:44This is the strongest group of competitors we've ever had.
26:48I feel like we're about to see some incredible floor shows.
26:50Maybe we should have forked over $100,000 a long time ago.
26:54I wonder.
26:56Maybe not.
26:57Well, it's very great to catch up with both of you in this manner.
27:00And I can't wait for us to get back on track with our podcast.
27:03However, now I think we all need to go work.
27:05Ian needs to go boss some people around.
27:07And I need to go to sleep.
27:09Good night.
27:10All right.
27:10Well, we'll see you soon.
27:32Good night.
27:41Good night.
28:46Welcome to the grand finale of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula Season 4.

28:58three tenets of Dragula.
28:59Filth, horror, and glamour.
29:02These final performances will be judged on the originality of the overall concept, the execution and craftsmanship of the looks,
29:11and the competitors' ability to present their looks in an incredible stage show.
