00:00Honestly, I thought I knew what this thing was going to sound like and I was completely wrong.
00:08When I first saw the Reverend Kingbolt F Sonic, I assumed it was going to be like an indie guitar,
00:14an alternative style guitar. Not a solid body guitar, right? Because it's got holes in it,
00:18but not a semi hollow because the holes are not within the body. They're through.
00:24I'll tell you what it feels like with these holes. When you play,
00:29you feel it like on your stomach.
00:37Notice these rail hammer pickups. It's got pole pieces on one side and rails under the other.
00:42The rails are under the wound strings and the pole pieces are under the unwound strings.
00:51In the neck pickup, you have a Nuevo 90 pickup, which is a P90, but without the hum,
00:56that can ruin a good night of rocking.
01:02It's still got that bite and that aggression that you like on a P90, right?
01:09You can use these three knobs to shape your tone in a lot of different ways
01:13than you would normally expect. First knob is volume.
01:19Second is tone.
01:24The third knob is a bass contour knob, so it rolls off the low end and you can actually use
01:30it to
01:30shape these pickups so much more than I thought you would.
01:47It's a very well thought out instrument. Each one of these things, which is a visual flare,
01:51actually serves a practical purpose for a playing musician, whether you're on stage,
01:56in the studio, or just jamming in your house.
01:59The third knob is a very well thought out instrument.
