The Budi Diesel subsidy programme officially launched nationwide on Wednesday (July 1), cutting diesel prices to RM2.10 per litre.

Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said the ministry has eased rules on vehicle transfers and raised quotas for small businesses.

00:04with Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan on the ground in Putrajaya to mark the rollout.
00:10The subsidized diesel price has now been cut from RM3.97 to RM2.10 per liter.
00:30Over 700,000 private diesel vehicle owners will benefit from this rollout.
00:35One of them is consultant Shafiq Ayman.
00:52Amir Hamzah said the ministry has also eased the rules,
00:56allowing vehicle transfers within families
00:58and letting small businesses and interior area service providers
01:02apply for higher quotas, from 200 to 300 liters.
01:08More than 300,000 such applications have already been approved.
