00:00This is related to the book, Without Apology, from chapter 54 and 96.
00:07Sir, how do we exactly attain clarity to our inner self?
00:12The inner self is not a thing, it's not an object.
00:16It is not something you can hold in your palm.
00:18It is not even something you can mentally conceptualize.
00:21So, there is not much in talking about the inner self.
00:26However, we all do live by something that we call as the self, right?
00:32This is me, this is my choice, this is my opinion, this is this, this is that.
00:36So, start from there and ask yourself, are they really authentic?
00:41The mistake we often make is of continuing to stand where we are
00:46and standing where we are, we then want to conceptualize an authentic self.
00:53So, don't attempt that.
00:55Instead, look at how things actually, factually are with you right now
01:01and ask yourself, how much of it is coming from the movies
01:04or from my local tradition
01:07or look at things that you hold very dear or even sacred.
01:12From where are they coming?
01:14And if they are not really mine, do I need to be so serious about them?
01:17Or am I free to look at them without bias, without fear, witness them from a distance?
