01:55Deliver, Lord, for the godly have disappeared.
01:58People of integrity have vanished.
02:02People lie to one another.
02:04They flatter and deceive.
02:07May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts.
02:13They say, we speak persuasively.
02:16We know how to flatter and boast.
02:18Who is our master?
02:21Because of the violence done to the oppressed,
02:24because of the painful cries of the needy,
02:27I will spring into action, says the Lord.
02:30I will provide the safety they so desperately desire.
02:35The Lord's words are absolutely reliable.
02:39They are as untainted as silver purified in a furnace on the ground,
02:44where it is thoroughly refined.
02:48You, Lord, will protect them.
02:50You will continually shelter each one from these evil people.
02:55For the wicked seem to be everywhere, when people promote evil.

03:17How long, Lord, will you continue to ignore me?
03:21How long will you pay no attention to me?
03:25How long must I worry and suffer in broad daylight?
03:30How long will my enemy gloat over me?
03:34Look at me, answer me, O Lord, my God, revive me, or else I will die.
03:41Then my enemy will say, I have defeated him.
03:46Then my foes will rejoice, because I am shaken.
03:51But I trust in your faithfulness.
03:54May I rejoice because of your deliverance.
03:57I will sing praises to the Lord, when he vindicates me.

04:19Fools say to themselves, there is no God.
04:23They sin and commit evil deeds.
04:26None of them does what is right.
04:29The Lord looks down from heaven at the human race
04:32to see if there is anyone who is wise and seeks God.
04:37Everyone rejects God.
04:39They are all morally corrupt.
04:42None of them does what is right, not even one.
04:47All those who behave wickedly do not understand.
04:51Those who devour my people as if they were eating bread
04:54and do not call out to the Lord.
04:58They are absolutely terrified, for God defends the godly.
05:04You want to humiliate the oppressed,
05:06even though the Lord is their shelter.
05:10I wish the deliverance of Israel would come from Zion.
05:14When the Lord restores the well-being of his people,
05:17may Jacob rejoice.
05:19May Israel be happy.
05:22Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,

05:38Be sober, be vigilant,
05:41because your adversary the devil is prowling around
05:45like a roaring lion,
05:48seeking someone to devour.
05:51Resist him, be strong in the faith.
05:58Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who wake or watch or weep this night,
06:04and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
06:10Tend the sick, give rest to the weary,
06:15give rest to the weary, sustain the dying,
06:17calm the suffering, and pity the distressed.
06:21All for your love's sake, O Christ, our Redeemer.
06:34Now, according to your word, Sovereign Lord,
06:38permit your servant to depart in peace.
06:41For my eyes have seen your salvation,
06:44that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples.
06:49A light for the revelation to the Gentiles,
06:53and for glory to your people Israel.

07:13Lighten our darkness, Lord, we pray,
