00:00Well, I don't know whether they underestimated me or not.
00:03What I do know is that the Conservative Party had suffered its most historic defeat,
00:07and it was not going to get its fortunes turned around overnight.
00:11Previous oppositions have been 18 years, 13 years, 14 years.
00:15I'm going to turn this around in four years.
00:17I'm not saying that the job is done. There's still a long road ahead.
00:21And I'm not saying the previous Conservative Parties were perfect.
00:23If we were, we'd still be in government.
00:25We do know what we did wrong. We've acknowledged those mistakes.
00:28We have apologized. We've changed the bad policies.
00:30We're getting new people. This is a changed Conservative Party.
00:33It is a common-sense party that can unite the country and get Britain working.
00:38And that's what I want people to see. That's what my leadership is about.
00:41And I think that when people see that, they do like it.
