05:41today, most successful driver

05:45Can he force himself into the mix?
05:47I think they can
05:48by doing something a bit different. Max Verstappen,
05:51for those of you who didn't see our
05:52pre-race show, is the only driver
05:54on the grid who's got two brand new sets of
05:57medium tyres, two brand new sets
05:59of hard tyres. Now, that means
06:00he could potentially do
06:02a four stints.
06:04So, three pit stops, four stints,
06:06all on brand new tyres.
06:08Nobody else has that luxury property.
06:10Now, what we saw in Barcelona
06:12was that the degradation
06:13on the first stint of the race
06:15was higher than people expected.
06:18Now, Verstappen and Red Bull
06:19have given themselves a flexibility
06:21that if we find the same situation
06:23here, then he can do
06:24all four stints of new tyres,
06:26then that could be an advantage.
06:28The track is hotter here
06:30than it was in Barcelona.
06:33The predictions are
06:34that tyre degradation,
06:35you know, the wear,
06:36and it comes from
06:36the thermal degradation here
06:38that affects the grip of the tyres,
06:40won't be as significant
06:42as it was in Barcelona.
