The Long Course Weekend kicked-off in Tenby on Friday afternoon, with the spectacular swim start on North Beach.
The iconic Long Course Weekend returns to Tenby and Pembrokeshire, introducing a new cycling route and attracting over 11,000 athletes from 56 nations.
Over 11,000 athletes, 35,000 supporters from 56 nations, will compete in Tenby and its surrounding over three days from June 26 to 28.
Each summer, Pembrokeshire plays host to one of Wales’ most iconic endurance events. Athletes from around the world descend on Tenby for three unforgettable days of sport, spirit, and scenery.
Athletes compete across three disciplines over the course of a weekend, picking the distances that suit them best.
Temporary road closures and restrictions to facilitate the annual Long Course Weekend in Tenby and its surrounding areas will be in place for the marathon on Sunday - although a redesigned course has been introduced for the cycling event taking place on the Saturday, Pembrokeshire County Council has stated.
