Roshan Suvarna had no known criminal record. But on June 24, police allege that a drunken train journey ended in the fatal stabbing of 22-year-old Mayank Lohar inside a Mumbai local train.

00:04alongside his father and elder brother. Police say he had no previous criminal record and was
00:08known as a regular working professional. According to investigators, Roshan Suvarna finished work on
00:13the evening of June 24th and drank nearly an entire bottle of rum. He initially planned to
00:19take a cab home but due to heavy rain and difficulty finding one, he boarded a local
00:23train from Andheri station instead. Police say he was carrying a knife that he had allegedly
00:27purchased from a friend a few days earlier and kept it in his bag. After fatally stabbing 22-year-old
00:32Mayank Lohar inside the church gate Nala Sopara fast local, he allegedly jumped off at Boriwali
00:37station and disappeared into the crowd. Investigators later found that he travelled to his home in Mira
00:42Road, took a shower, packed a few clothes and told family members he would return shortly. He then
00:47booked a cab to Panvale and allegedly purchased a bus ticket to his native Mangaluru. He was tracked
00:52down within 15 hours after police scanned footage from nearly 400 CCTV cameras and identified
00:57him through the company logo on his T-shirt.
