00:00US President Donald Trump engaged in a shouting match with Republican Senator Bill Cassidy over
00:05the Iran War in a closed-door meeting with fellow Republicans Wednesday, June 24.
00:10This was shortly before his administration asked Congress for tens of billions of dollars to pay
00:14for the conflict. Several Republicans who attended the meeting say, Cassidy said the
00:19administration needed to explain a framework deal Trump signed last week. The deal gives Iran
00:24financial incentives but falls short of the goals Trump laid out at the war's beginning.
00:29Cassidy tells reporters after the meeting, the American people need to know more than we are
00:34being told. It does not appear, although I don't know for sure, that the course of this is going
00:38the way that we were told. Trump's approval ratings are at its lowest since he returned to office last
00:43year. A Reuters-Ipsos poll shows just one in four Americans believes the war was worth its costs.
