09:54The reason why we wouldn't see them do as well as they have in playoffs
09:58is that the way they played is a playoff-grinding game,
10:01and it showed those first two series against two good teams that they beat,
10:05so it's going to be a great challenge.
10:07They've been playing, and Stank's been a massive part of that.
10:11Just a tenacious player, competitive, talented,
10:17but ready to work and ready to go, and he's been a huge addition for me.
10:38I've talked about it and used this little bit of a break to kind of reset and go from, yeah,
10:48start tomorrow,
10:49start playing a little bit better hockey.
10:52Staying sharp physically and, you know, had a bit of a mental break for a few days,
11:00but kind of ramped up back up again this last little stretch, and we'll be ready tomorrow.
11:09So, yeah, obviously five on five, it's a grind out there.
11:14There's not much out there, and that's how it should be too.
11:18So, yeah, it's just a matter of winning hockey games right now.
11:38Given that many freebies, any team's going to make you pay, especially this time of year.
11:43And, you know, there wasn't enough respect for them, and they played a great game,
11:48and they were ready to roll, and we weren't.
11:51I said, well, I'm going to break our weights.
11:53We gave up.
11:54We were up to that, and, you know, we've got to find ways, obviously,
11:59to defend better and get nothing to be hard on.
12:02You know, they're just freebies, and, you know, they've got some talent.
12:22You know, you want to make it a long series for the other team,
12:25and taking chunks out of them every game is important,
12:29and I think the guys have done a much better job as playoff run,
12:33and staying physical on the other team.
12:36And a whole group, really, just trying to play in their end as much as we can,
12:39and, you know, limit their shots and their chances.
12:44And, you know, I think all the way through is more Carolina-Huriken Hockey game two,
12:50and I'm trying to keep building on that.
12:52It is suppressing shots.
12:53It's really just having the puck playing in their end,
12:56and it's pretty hard to get shots on the other team when you're playing in their end,
13:01grinding them down, so that's been our goal,
13:03and I thought we did a much better job except of game two of doing that.
13:24You know, how hard we played and, you know, the way we did it feels good.
13:29So we're going to enjoy the evening.
13:34I know there's work ahead, but definitely do it to be bad and never giving up,
13:39and, you know, just, yeah, just sticking with it.
13:47And I'm just so happy to be where we're at and just excited for the opportunity
13:51that he needed to play and how he stayed on him and buried the game.
13:57But, you know, it creeps into your mind at times, but, you know,
14:02until that buzzer goes, you know, it's fun to get that good feeling released.

15:25and the challenge we have ahead is exciting and we're looking forward to it.

15:46and, you know, it's just a matter of executing that,

16:35so it's definitely cool, and I bet they had a big party last night.
16:41Obviously, now we finally have a chance to play for the Cup,
16:44so it's obviously super exciting, but at the same time, you know,
16:48realizing we want to make most of it and, you know, play our best game
16:53and hopefully win it all.

18:14How we get some more O's on time and get those chances there, and obviously when, yeah, you're
18:19right, when you have a chance to shoot, you have to shoot at the same time.
18:23You've just got to play the game the right way, and trust that you're going to have that
18:26chance and put it in there and have it.

26:54It has been an eight-year journey, and Jordan Stahl lifts the cup the second time the Carolina

28:04You know, it's just kind of nerve-wracking, and it's so much fun to be able to hold emotions
28:10and then, you know, like, the game, even at the end, like, it's 3-0.
28:17You dial it in to not let them score, and that's, you know, this feels unbelievable.
28:23It was special when you, you know, you have Jordan Stahl, you have Stanley, you have Martin,
28:27you have so many guys who have been here for a long time, and we've tried to accomplish this
28:32for so many years, and a period of the year that it kind of keeps us down,
28:37but obviously now we're on top of it.

29:02I believed in the culture.
29:03I believed in what we were trying to build in Carolina, and I was just, you know, amazing

29:27So I figured he'd be a great start, and, you know, I think just proud of the way he played

29:37and gave us some great rest, obviously, early in the playoffs, and, you know, a chance to keep moving forward

29:47the support group. I love those games.
29:52They bring in every day, and they compete, and they're their fans, and then to be able to keep grinding,
30:01keep going, keep pushing,
30:03and, you know, get it down again, and not get it, and reboot, and go ahead, and put this off
30:09for the next season.
