00:05Stranger Things is coming back and Toto, we're not in Hawkins anymore.
00:10Netflix announced that their breakout hit Stranger Things is officially coming back
00:13for a season 4 and it looks like we're heading back to the upside down.
00:17But that's not all for exciting Stranger Things news my friends. The streamer is so
00:22impressed with the success of the show that they've also signed its creators, the Duffer
00:25Brothers, to an overall multi-year film and TV deal that's worth somewhere in the
00:29nine-figure range. Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos spoke out about his
00:34excitement to bring more Duffer Brothers magic to the streamer saying,
00:53And as for the Duffers themselves, they released a joint statement on Monday about the
00:57opportunity saying,
01:09An official premiere date is still TBD at the moment and it's also unclear if season 4 will be the
01:14last for Stranger Things, but it's possible since the Duffers have been pretty open about the
01:19drama not being a long-running show. Stranger Things is easily considered Netflix's most popular,
01:24scripted original series. Aside from the numbers to prove it, the show has remained an
01:27awards season darling, collecting 18 Emmy nominations, winning 5, as well as creating a
01:32multi-million dollar merchandising business of comic books and other consumer products.
01:37And with another season on deck, its popularity is only assumed to grow.
