With this easy-to-make strawberry syrup, you’ll be enjoying one of the best desserts on Route 66. In this video, Natalie shows you how to make strawberry syrup snow cones, made famous by Delgadillo’s Snow Cap. After making the strawberry syrup over the stove, pour it over a bowl of shaved ice and enjoy!

00:00Don't throw out those old strawberries. Let me show you what to do instead.
00:02The original recipe actually comes from Delgadillo's Snowcap Drive-In,
00:05which is a stop on Route 66. Bring to a boil and let it cook for 10 minutes.
00:09Go ahead and strain your berries. Put this in the fridge until it's cooled.
00:11Now it's time to shave a little ice.
00:15Now just take your strawberry syrup and drizzle it right on top.
00:17You can enjoy it in drinks. You can top desserts with it.
00:19Personally, this is me and my kids' favorite way to enjoy homemade strawberry syrup.
