00:00I think Parisians are really artistic and have the je ne sais quoi.
00:06J'adore.
00:15I loved my area because République is like a real kind of cultural touchstone
00:23in terms of people convened there.
00:25It definitely gave me kind of like some sort of context for all the cultural groups.
00:31Like I didn't really understand the relationship between white Parisians and North African Parisians
00:37and just kind of like how prominent that group of people is and how important that culture is.
00:42And what's cool is we get to explore that through the show too.
00:45I really love Shakespeare and Company, which is an English bookstore across the street from Notre Dame.
00:52So you get to kind of experience the area around there and also La Seine,
00:57but also go to this incredible bookstore that's just filled with amazing books.
01:03And they have really cool programs at that bookstore as well
01:05where you like have to write every day and you can live in the bookstore and stuff like that.
01:11Barque Monceau, which I love.
01:13Honestly, all I did while I was here was just walk around and lie in parks.
01:18I love this place called Charnoir, which is a cafe and a bar that's near my house.
01:25And what's really cool about it is every single Monday night they have poetry readings.
01:29That kind of was one of the first places where I felt like,
01:33oh, I'm understanding kind of why Paris is so important in terms of being a place in which people can
01:42convene and share their artistry
01:44and be inspired by people around them.
01:47Yeah, I mean, there's a real energy flowing through the city.
01:51Thanks.
