00:02Today we are going to be recreating the look that I did on Rachel Brosnahan. So I'm just
00:09sectioning the hair to go through with the curling iron and add a little bit of bend.
00:15I like to start at the back and using about a one and a half inch iron to create some
00:25texture.
00:25So I'm spraying each section with a light thermal protectant that has a little bit of hold.
00:33When you wrap the hair around the curling iron you want to keep about an inch out at the
00:39ends and that gives it a more relaxed wave rather than like a perfect curl.
00:45Now that we've got the texture I'm just going to go through and break it up, adding a little
00:53bit of hairspray. And then the whole mood is to sort of have the braid feel effortless so
00:59I like to leave a few pieces out around the face. So I'm just loosely gathering the hair
01:06around the nape and slightly off center. And then I don't like my sections to be too clean
01:13with the braid. So I keep pulling some hair out as I go. So once I've fastened or secured the
01:24hair
01:24at the bottom then I like to go back and do some detail work and kind of frizz up the
01:31braid with my
01:32hands to give it a little bit more of a lived in relaxed vibe. And then I just finish it
01:41off with
01:41like a really light hold hairspray. And there you have it.
