00:02Andrew McCarthy takes some pretty incredible photos of the moon in fact over the summer he took thousands of pictures
00:08over the course of 22 days to make this a video of the moon which appears to wobble based on
00:13its elliptical orbit and position of the observer but now he's taken his lunar viewing to a whole new level
00:18and claims to have taken one of the most detailed photos of the moon ever this is the result of
00:23many sleepless nights out under the glowing celestial body just like with the video this single image is actually thousands
00:29of photos of the moon ever
00:30photos that have been stitched together for an ultra high definition look at earth's closest neighbor but despite his fidelity
00:35this pic was sort of an afterthought for McCarthy the night he took the photos used in the composite he
00:40was actually after a shot of the great conjunction when Jupiter and Saturn were right next to each other in
00:45the sky but the night was so perfect after shooting that he got a few well thousand photos of the
00:50moon as well he even got one with a tiny international space station flying right by letting us see a
00:56close-up of every crater canyon and shadow of earth's one and only
00:59moon
