00:00I think Ecuador really just put us all Latinos through stress this weekend.
00:05It's a win that they should have had, and, you know, second game in a row, it just didn't happen.
00:11I mean, like Ecuador, I'm just so disappointed because this is a team that was good in the qualifiers before
00:21the playoffs started.
00:22Second place, right behind, of course, the champs.
00:25But then, you know, this is a team that had everything in line to be one of the star teams
00:32from Conmebol.
00:34You just end up starting off with a loss against Ivory Coast.
00:37Then you tie against Curacao, who we were all expecting to be a blowout after seeing Germany beat them 7
00:43-1.
00:43So it really just disappointed from Ecuador.
00:48But another team that really disappointed from the weekend was Uruguay.
00:53Uruguay time, what the hell?
00:58Look, I'm going to give them their flowers.
01:00It's not like Cabo Verde played like trash.
01:03They actually played really good defense.
01:05They attacked.
01:06They took the opportunities.
01:07They need to get Vangeland.
01:08That was a banger of a free kick.
01:10Don't get me wrong.
01:11The wall definitely hit.
01:12They should have blocked that.
01:14But regardless, it went in the goal.
01:16I think people aren't recognizing just how good the competition really is this year in the World Cup.
01:22But then also, you know, Uruguay, there's no excuses.
01:26You have to win those games.
01:27I mean, that's the beauty of the World Cup.
01:29And I've been saying it for weeks that this is a tournament where you see any and every team go
01:35all out.
01:35You know, they're willing to die on the field for their flag.
01:39And you really can't expect anything.
01:42I mean, you make a bet, like some of us make a bet, that Uruguay is going to be raining
01:48on Cabo Verde's parade.
01:52And then you end up getting a tie from this game.
01:55Like, what is going on?
01:56Like, Alex, if I would have known Saleta was still going to be goalkeeping at, what, 40, I think it
02:02is, I probably wouldn't have placed those bets.
02:05But there he is coming out of the box, top of the box.
02:09I don't know what's going on with these plays and these games.
02:12It's honestly like you, like I said, you can't expect an easy win because we've been seeing this go on
02:20from all the games.
02:21Like, you just don't know what you're going to expect.
02:24We're seeing Uruguay tie with Cabo Verde.
02:27We're seeing Portugal tie with Congo.
02:30I mean, we have just upset left and right.
02:35Ecuador with Curacao.
02:37I mean, what I do like, though, is that we're seeing some older folk thongs shine bright in this tournament,
02:46like the Bozinha and Curacao.
02:49And then the, I'm blanking on the name, but the Cabo Verde goalkeeper with a combined age of 70 plus.
02:58I mean, these are two people who would not expect to be in their prime shape in this World Cup.
03:03Yet, they're keeping clean sheets like it's nothing.
03:06Let's not forget about the players that aren't popular and they're getting famous literally overnight, getting like 2 million followers.
03:13Like, I think what it's demonstrating is just how big the stage is, the sport, but also like people that
03:20are really down for their country.
03:21Like this goalie from the match.
03:25He's like one of the top names of goalkeepers.
03:27And that's another thing about this tournament.
03:30This is a really big tournament, this World Cup, of the goalkeepers.
03:34We're seeing great goalkeepers from these goalies in these countries.
03:38It's cool.
03:39It's cool to see, but like you said, these teams should not be doing these ties.
