00:30Carson also revealed that Gwen Stefani will return to the show to replace Adam for season 17.
00:35The Maroon 5 frontman was one of the singing competition's original coaches when it launched back in 2011.
00:41He and Blake Shelton, who is returning next season, are the only coaches who have appeared on every single season

00:54Blake posted an emotional tweet about Adam's departure, writing,

01:11Ironically, just two weeks ago, Adam retweeted a promo from The Voice in which he was announced to be returning,
01:16along with fellow coaches John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake next season.
01:20On Friday, the singer shared a long statement about his exit on Instagram, writing that,
01:25for me, it was time to move on.
01:27He also reflected on his experience on the show, saying,
01:29After the first day of shooting, I sat there stunned.
01:32I said to myself, there's some magic here.
01:34Something is definitely happening.
01:36It went on to be a life-shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever.
01:39Adam has won the show three times.
01:41And in a statement on Twitter, The Voice's producer said they hope to see him back at the show in
01:45the future.
