Some areas of Kent are predicted to hit nearly 35 degrees next week ... but Kent Police and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution have been quick to issue warnings.

00:00So Chloe, how are you enjoying your beach day?
00:05You know what Nayla, as work days go, this has been a great one.
00:08It's been a lovely afternoon here in Broadstairs Beach.
00:12You can see plenty of people on the beach soaking up the sun.
00:15You know, it's only been 26 degrees today, but we're in for a lot more.
00:19So the Met Office has actually warned into early next week we could be seeing 34 degree temperatures.
00:25And then for context, the highest recorded temperature in June on record is 35.6 degrees.
00:33And the Met Office say it is highly likely that we could exceed that.
00:37But it's not all suncastles and lylos, is it, Chloe?
00:43Of course not, although it is a little bit like that here.
00:46The RNLI has issued warnings, of course, enjoy the sun, but be wary around the water.
00:52We spoke to Guy Addington earlier, the water safety expert for the southeast.
00:57As the weather warms up, people are more tempted to enter the water at the sea, at the coast,
01:03or indeed in land in lakes, rivers, quarries and things of that nature.
01:07And it's important to remember that there are still a number of hazards and risks associated with all of those
01:12environments.
01:13So the water is still quite cold.
01:15It's cold enough in most cases to induce a physiological response in humans that is difficult to overcome.
01:22It's called cold water shock.
01:23And that's a condition that can and does lead to drowning.
01:27So the water is cold.
01:28There's also quite a lot of movement in many of those bodies of water created by tides,
01:34by currents, rip currents, flow in the river, things of that nature.
01:37So the water moves.
01:41Kent Police say they are also keeping an eye out for antisocial behaviour during this heatwave.
01:46You may recognise this speech from a few of our reports about antisocial behaviour a few weeks ago on bank
01:51holiday.
01:51They told me in a statement that disperse orders are going to be in place over the weekend
01:56in Fannet's town centres and seafronts to deter antisocial behaviour.
01:59The disperse order gives our officers additional power to instruct anyone to leave specific areas
02:05and anyone who returns after being dispersed risks being arrested.
02:09Now I haven't seen police today but we'll have to see over the week.
02:13And speaking of next week, here's the weather.
02:21Temperatures will hit the mid-twenties tonight but be clear across the county.
02:25Tomorrow morning we'll see cloudy skies across Kent with temperatures 19 degrees back at my base in Medway.
02:32However, it will get hotter into the afternoon as temperatures climb to as high as 26 degrees
02:38and the sun breaks through in Dover.
02:41Sunday will be bright and sunny with temperatures hitting 28 degrees.
02:44But as for that amber weather warning, for the heat next week temperatures will soar,
02:48reaching at least 32 degrees on both days.
02:50So stay safe and drink your water.
02:55Monday will see later on September ê±·ats www.bo seasons.co.ch
02:57The will will be at last week.
02:57Soon I'll stop the weather, we go!
02:57Just let it setup quickly now, and I'll be back to the curve.
02:57Probably, it's in case now when you first look into this next month.
