00:00If you look up Kent weather on on your browser or whatever it'll come up with
00:04severe high temperature warning which does seem quite scary however a lot of
00:08those red warnings are in London and I'll have a little map coming up soon so
00:12you can really see where you are in the county and if whether or not you'll be
00:16affected in terms of these these high heats there is so as you watch this the
00:21time will continue on until Thursday evening or until Friday morning I think
00:25I did it so you can see just when those red patches start to come in the we will
00:30have extreme heat until Tuesday until 11 59 p.m. and extreme heat from Wednesday
00:35midnight to Thursday 11 59 p.m. we can expect hot and humid weather to continue
00:41throughout the middle of the week and exceptionally warm temperatures both day
00:44and night and I mean there's lots that you need to do to be careful really you
00:49need to be aware of heat stroke because this is kind of weather that will affect
00:54everybody usually in these warnings we hear about the elderly or the very very
00:57young but no it really is everybody needs to be careful about heat stroke I was
01:02like in Rochester today speaking to the residents to see what they're doing and
01:07how they're staying cool well to be fair at the moment I'm not really liking the
01:13weather because I can't really sit out and eat too long because my skin it just burns
01:18drinking drinking loads and going for work because I'm disabled and stopping where I can and refreshing
01:26well I'm loving the heat it's not quite as hot today as it was yesterday so we're
01:30making the most of it before it gets truly hot fortunately we're in a house where we
01:33can throw open the windows and we've got a shaded garden so we can cope I just feel
01:38people who are stuck in flats you know and haven't got much choice in the matter I
01:44really feel for them doing as little as possible drinking lots of cold drinks
01:49staying in the shade lots of cold drinks that's it and we've just heard that how
01:54some people in Kent do cool down but Kristen how should we be cooling down in
01:58temperatures like these well like you said if you're if you're in a flat or
02:01something you can always go out to a cafe where they have air conditioning
02:04there are places that advertise that they have air conditioning if you really
02:07can't stay inside you move your socks drink lots of water and be aware of the
02:12signs of heat stroke as well
