00:00When you say, I am serious about something, what do you mean?
00:02You mean that this thing is important.
00:05Nothing is important.
00:06Because whatever will become important for you,
00:09will push your life into fear.
00:13Because if something is very important,
00:15then the thought of its being lost will create fear within you.
00:20And this becomes a burden upon the mind.
00:23Are you understanding this?
00:24An event is approaching.
00:25Till the time the event is not there,
00:27you will keep thinking about it and fuming and fearing.
00:30And imagining.
00:30And that is called as seriousness.
00:32But once you are into the event,
00:34and really, really into it,
00:36then there can be no seriousness.
00:37Then there is only the event, the happening, the flow.
00:40And you are a part of that flow.
00:41You are that flow.
00:43This is called immersion.
00:45Seriousness implies,
00:46I am there and the thing is separate from me.
00:48I am separate from thing.
00:50So seriousness, in that sense, reinforces the ego.
00:54Immersion dissolves the ego.
00:55There is no separation between me and the event,
00:58me and the thing,
00:59me and that person.
