Pan fried pork chops teriyaki with lemon is a Japanese-inspired pork recipe that combines juicy meat, glossy sauce, and a bright citrus finish for an easy dinner. The pork chops are usually seasoned, seared in a hot pan, and cooked until golden on the outside while staying tender inside. A simple teriyaki sauce made with soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar coats the pork as it thickens into a sweet savory glaze. Fresh lemon juice or zest adds a clean sharp note that balances the richness of the sauce and keeps the dish from tasting heavy. The final pork chops are glossy, flavorful, and satisfying, pairing well with steamed rice, shredded cabbage, miso soup, pickles, or roasted vegetables for a quick weeknight meal with bold flavor and a fresh finish.

00:00Hi, I'm Yuto and today on Statue I'm going to show you how to make easy pan-fried pork
00:04chops with a delicious lemon-infused teriyaki glaze.
00:08Let's get started.
00:09I'm using these thick bone-less pork chops with plenty of fat.
00:13I'm just going to make cuts in the fatty parts which will help stop them from curling
00:18as they cook.
00:19Season them with a pinch of salt on each side and set them by the stove.
00:37Next preheat your pan on medium-low, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and 1 clove garlic, cut into
00:45thin slices.
00:47The low heat will help draw out the flavour without burning the garlic.
00:52Once they become golden on one side, turn them over.
00:55When they golden all over, take them out of the pan and place them on a piece of kitchen
01:00paper to absorb the excess oil.
01:02We will use them as a topping at the end.
01:05Now that we have a fragrant garlic-infused oil, we're going to increase the heat to medium
01:10high and add the pork chops.
01:13Fry for one and a half to two minutes or until golden on one side.
01:19Flip them over and reduce the heat to medium-low.
01:22Cover with a lid and continue to fry for three to four minutes depending on the thickness of
01:27your pork chops.
01:28While we wait, let's mix the teriyaki sauce.
01:30In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of mirin, 2 tablespoons of sake
01:38and half tablespoon of honey.
01:40I use honey instead of sugar in this recipe because it goes really nicely with the lemon.
01:48Ok, it's been about 4 minutes and the pork is looking good.
01:51I'm serving this dish with some chopped king oyster mushrooms so I'm just going to add
01:56those to the pan and rearrange them so they're all touching the bottom of the pan.
02:02You can use any of your favourite local mushrooms here or even some other vegetables of your choice.
02:08Next, pour the teriyaki sauce around the pan and let it simmer until slightly thickened.
02:13Turn the pork chops over occasionally to make sure both sides get coated in the sauce.
02:19Finally, add 4 lemon slices and continue to cook until the sauce is thick and glossy like a syrup.
02:25Keep moving the lemon slices around to encourage the juices to release into the sauce.
02:31Once it looks like this, take the pan off the heat and let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes
02:36before serving.
02:38I'm serving my lemon teriyaki pork over rice.
02:41Next, add the mushrooms, decorate with the lemon slices and drizzle with the leftover sauce.
02:47Finally, sprinkle with the crispy fried garlic chips from earlier.
02:52And that's it, quick and simple yet packed with flavour lemon teriyaki pork chops.
