It all started in 2023 when I put in my very first Cameo Request to the legendary actor and turned into a bond of friendship that no movie geek would ever imagine. I send Eric some new upgrades for his birthday for two years and he likes them a lot.
This is a 25 min. video and I hope you enjoy it

00:01Susan, Eric Roberts here.
00:04I love this request. I'm gonna do it.
00:06I love Philly.
00:08And I hope you're dancing and ride along.
00:14My wife.
00:47Are you ready?
01:02Hey Susan, Eric Roberts here.
01:05Yes, I do know the lyrics to If I Can't Have You.
01:08Love that song.
01:10I love that you enjoy dancing and singing.
01:12You sound like my wife Eliza.
01:14Those are two of her favorite things to do also.
01:17Susan, go on YouTube and Spotify and find the music of my bonus son, Keaton Simons.
01:25He'd be honored knowing that you're out there in Philly singing along to his music and dancing.
01:30Keaton tours a lot through your town with Brett Young and on his own.
01:35The Lifetime movie, If I Can't Have You, was directed by one of Eliza and my favorite directors, David DeCoto.
01:42We are regulars in David's movies and it's an absolute joy.
01:46He's so cool.
01:48I'm so happy to meet you, Susan.
01:50Thank you for sharing.
01:52Kisses and all my love.
01:53Peace out.
01:59Susan, Eric Roberts here, AKA Alice Grady.
02:04You ask a very intriguing and intelligent question.
02:08What do I think about girl power in the martial arts realm?
02:12As a matter of fact, if I were not packing to go on location, I'd be at my five year
02:17old granddaughter's karate class.
02:19The other things she loves are singing and dancing.
02:23You two are birds of a feather.
02:26I'm so pleased with the evidence that women are no longer being ridiculously marginalized.
02:30I'm in shock that we've never had a woman as president.
02:34And the inequality is insane.
02:39I don't like the idea of potentially violent sports of any kind, whether the participants are male or female or
02:45other.
02:45But take away the violence, everyone should be welcome.
02:50My mother-in-law was Lila Garrett.
02:53L-I-L-A, Lila Garrett.
02:57G-A-R-R-E-T-T.
02:59Look her up, Susan.
03:00By the way, I love Philadelphia.
03:04We have so many friends who live there, probably right near you.
03:08And I love that you're showing the best of the best.
03:13Peace out.
03:20Hi, guys.
03:21Eric's here, too.
03:22Say hi, Eric.
03:22Hi, Susan.
03:23Mwah, mwah, mwah.
03:25I hope I'm doing this right.
03:26I really do.
03:27I could only hope.
03:28Anyway, that was very nice, you saying that about Keaton having soul.
03:32And I just, I mean, I will dance around the house on a dime.
03:38Sometimes I get Eric in there with me.
03:40And, you know, I've learned that even if people walk in the house, don't stop.
03:44It's the best.
03:46There's no one's ever been harmed by dancing.
03:48I mean, they have been harmed if they fall down or whatever.
03:50But, you know, this world, more dancing, less guns, right?
03:55Anyway, sweetheart, I loved your request.
03:59It really meant a lot to me.
04:01It got me thinking and listening to a whole bunch more R&B.
04:04Thank you for listening to Keaton.
04:05Enjoy him.
04:06Stay in touch.
04:07Okay?
04:08Eric, say bye.
04:09Bye-bye.
04:10Peace out.
04:10You're standing up.
04:11His hair's standing up.
04:12All right, sweetheart.
04:14Talk soon.
04:15Bye.
04:16Thank you so much, really.
04:18Eric Roberts here.
04:19It's so cool that you discovered the film, The Butcher.
04:23I'm always envious of people discovering great work late.
04:27It all gets to be new to you.
04:28I'm so glad you brought up The Butcher, Susan.
04:31I happen to love that director and that movie.
04:35I even like myself in it.
04:36And that is rare.
04:38I love your reasons for liking The Butcher.
04:40You found it to be an on-the-edge-of-your-seat fierce action-packed thriller.
04:46I love that.
04:47And you're a dancer and a singer.
04:49I have so much respect for that.
04:52I bet you're great.
04:53And you make jewelry.
04:56Thank you for asking what kind of earrings I like to wear.
04:59I love earrings.
05:00I like silver or bronze small hoop.
05:03Most important is that they're easy to clasp, to put on or take off.
05:08I like to wear one small hoop on the lower piercing and a small stud of any kind in the
05:14upper piercing.
05:15I love your town, by the way.
05:17And I love your riding.
05:18Your request was tons of fun.
05:21Mwah.
05:23Peace out.
05:26Do you like my balloons?
05:29Susan.
05:31Dr. Albert Beck here.
05:32I give up.
05:33And no one and nothing has made me give up before.
05:37Not even Matt Rife, who was one of the people who crossed my path, much to his eventual chagrin.
05:44You are a bounty hunter who is going to finally see justice done.
05:49I know.
05:50You're a justice fanatic, Susan.
05:52And you're escorting me to jail?
05:55Well, I might remain for a long time, if left to you, huh?
05:59Hmm.
06:00Hi, Susan.
06:03Alex here.
06:03Alex Grady.
06:04Don't worry.
06:05I will use my skills to help you make sure that Dr. Beck does not harm any more people.
06:11Of course I do martial arts.
06:12And he's great at the art of manipulation.
06:16Still, you and I, we're going to take him.
06:22Susan.
06:23Eric Roberts here.
06:25What a fun assignment you gave me.
06:28I'm with you about true crime.
06:30I love that you love to dance and sing.
06:32Dancing is, of course, my new challenge on Dancing with the Stars.
06:36And my bonus son, Keaton Simons, is a singer.
06:40I bet you're a fantastic singer.
06:42I can just feel it, Susan.
06:43You make earrings, too?
06:46I'm wearing earrings in tonight's episode of Dancing with the Stars.
06:50I'm also being fierce on dancing.
06:52All the things you love, Susan.
06:54Oh, by the way, I love you, Sidney.
06:56And I love your woman's intuition.
07:00And I'm loving doing this cameo for you.
07:03Peace out, doll.
07:07Those balloons are for you.
07:09Hi, Susan.
07:10It's great to hear from you again.
07:11First of all, thank you for the kind words and the incredible support.
07:15I love hearing how much joy my work has brought you over the years.
07:19And knowing someone as creative and vibrant as you and as a fan means the world to me.
07:25Now, to your questions.
07:28Dancing on Dancing with the Stars was an unforgettable experience.
07:33Do I feel more confident as a dancer now?
07:36Well, let's just say I have a newfound appreciation for the art of dancing.
07:41It's one thing to watch it.
07:42But it's another thing entirely to step into the ballroom and give it your all.
07:47It is so frightening.
07:48The experience taught me to let go, have fun, and embrace the moment without overthinking it.
07:56Confidence grows when you allow yourself to learn, stumble, and still keep going.
08:02And having the best partner in the world, as Brit is, certainly helps.
08:07As for the legendary Soul Train line, what an experience.
08:11That was so cool.
08:12Soul Train had an unmatched energy.
08:14And going down that famous line was like stepping into a celebration.
08:18You could feel the joy and the spirit in the room.
08:21But that happens a lot on Dancing with the Stars.
08:23Because Keaton Simons, my bonus son, I have learned to...
08:27He's a great musician.
08:29I've learned to expand my response to music.
08:32I've always responded emotionally.
08:34I've always sung along.
08:35But now, I dance along.
08:38And Susan, hearing about your passion, singing and dancing, making your own jewelry,
08:43makes me smile.
08:45So keep shining your light and expressing yourself in everything you do.
08:50And maybe one day, we'll both dance down a Soul Train line together.
08:55Take care.
08:56And thank you for always being such a wonderful fan.
08:59Stay fierce, Susan.
09:02Peace out.
09:03Susan, hi.
09:05Eric Roberts here.
09:06First off, a big thank you to you, your sister, and your parents for the warm holiday wishes.
09:12Hello and Merry Christmas right back at ya.
09:16It's...
09:16And I'm so glad to hear that you found C16 on YouTube.
09:20You're right.
09:20It's a rare gem and I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed it.
09:23Playing a hero on C16 was such a unique experience for me.
09:28Now, about your fantastic questions.
09:32Working alongside Morris Chestnut and Angie Harmon was an absolute joy.
09:36I've been crazy about Morris from day one.
09:39He's immensely talented and we've stayed good friends ever since.
09:42Angie was lovely to work with.
09:44And at the time in her career, she was so grateful to be acting.
09:48She was and still is just fantastic.
09:52Both Morris and Angie are true stars in every sense of that word.
09:56And, as for dancing with the stars, my favorite step was the waltz.
10:03It was the easiest for me to pick up, but oh how I wish I could have done freestyle dancing.
10:09If I had the chance, I would have loved to have danced to When I Go by my bonus son,
10:15Keaton Simons.
10:16That song holds a special place in my heart, as does the singer.
10:21Lastly, about a book tour, I'm dearly hoping to embark on a wide old fashioned book tour.
10:28There's nothing quite like meeting people face to face and sharing stories and shaking hands.
10:33Fingers crossed it happens soon.
10:36And Susan, your kindness in commissioning earrings for Eliza and me means so much.
10:42Thank you for thinking of this.
10:44You can check IMDB Pro for an address to send them to.
10:48We'd be delighted to receive such a thoughtful gift.
10:52Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season filled with love and laughter.
10:57Be well, and I hope to hear from you again.
11:02All my love.
11:03Peace out.
11:06Susan, it's Eliza Roberts.
11:08And Eric.
11:09And we love what you made for us.
11:11Check it out.
11:12We just love them.
11:13They're so much fun and so wonderful.
11:16And today I'm getting my passport picture retaken and I'm going to wear the blue ones.
11:21They're just fantastic.
11:22Thank you so much.
11:24Such beautiful work.
11:25We're excited.
11:26So thank you, sweetie.
11:27Oh, the balloons.
11:29Birthday balloons.
11:30Hello.
11:31Hey there, Susan.
11:32Eric Roberts here.
11:34Now, I hear you're having some feelings about turning the very, very young age of 38.
11:41And listen, I get a birthday to sneak up on you.
11:44And they whisper things like, are you still cool?
11:47And I'm here to tell you, yes, absolutely.
11:50You're not just cool.
11:51You're Susan cool.
11:52That's elite level.
11:54You're the youngest of three sisters, which makes you the wild card, the spark plug, the
11:59roll bender, the one who probably got away with stuff the others didn't.
12:02That's not as useful.
12:05That is legendary.
12:07And guess what?
12:08That spark, that's still you.
12:12Now, if you need a little soundtrack to remind you how vibrant and full of life you are,
12:18queue up some Keaton Simons, K-E-A-T-O-N-S-I-M-O-N-S.
12:23Have you heard Beautiful Pain?
12:25That's about embracing every part of the journey, even the hard-earned wisdom that
12:30comes with a few more candles on the cake.
12:32Or, one of my deep favorites, unstoppable.
12:37That's you, Susan.
12:39You are unstoppable.
12:4038 isn't a signal you're aging out.
12:43It's your prime time.
12:45It's the season of knowing yourself, laughing louder, loving deeper, and wearing whatever
12:49the hell you want because you've earned it.
12:52So, here's to you, to your brilliant heart, your spark, your laugh, and all the adventures
12:59still waiting around the corner.
13:0138 never looked so good.
13:04From me, and from your boy Keaton Simons, keep shining.
13:08It's 38.
13:10Baby, you're just getting started.
13:15Peace out.
13:19Those are your birthday balloons.
13:23Excellent.
13:24Susan, Aaron Roberts here.
13:26First off, Elias and I did have a great holiday weekend, thank you.
13:30And, wow, thanks for watching the Coca-Cola Kid.
13:34Good ass movie.
13:35You caught me in my usually blonde era, huh?
13:38Yeah, that was definitely my Ken face.
13:41Blonde, bold, and bizarre.
13:43But I'm honored you liked it, even as a self-declared Pepsi girl.
13:47So, now, the question.
13:49Let's do it.
13:50One, fire rises with the incredible Cynthia Rock Rock, Roth Rock.
13:55She's the real deal.
13:56Total powerhouse.
13:57Working with her is like stepping into a live action comic book.
14:02Energy, precision, respect.
14:05She's a lady dragon for a reason.
14:07Two, I am planning on doing another action martial arts film.
14:11Yep, I've got some things cooking.
14:13It's gonna happen.
14:14And, you know, I can't resist a good roundhouse or slow motion stare down there.
14:18Fun to be a part of.
14:19And, follow Simon Reed to find out about our best of best event in Las Vegas in October.
14:26Hope to see you there.
14:28Three, the earrings.
14:31Susan, that was so cool.
14:32They were amazing.
14:33You have incredible taste.
14:36It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose, the silver hoop for a little splash
14:42of turquoise.
14:43Yeah, Eliza agreed.
14:44They were fantastic.
14:46Thanks again for the thoughtful gift.
14:49And, even more thoughtful message.
14:51Stay cool.
14:53Stay proud.
14:54And, hey, whether you're team Coke or team Pepsi, I'm team Susan.
15:00Peace out.
15:01Hey, Susan.
15:02Derek Roberts.
15:03So glad you enjoyed the picture of me wearing your incredible earrings.
15:07Thank you so much.
15:09I love them.
15:10Works of art.
15:11Especially the small hoops with the turquoise beads.
15:14Those are my favorites, and I'm wearing them for tonight for you when I go.
15:18I go out.
15:19Bottom line is that righteous gemstones was one of my very favorite jobs ever.
15:25And, I had a blast working on Let's Imperfect, too.
15:28Now, your question.
15:30Favorite memories from best of best.
15:32You know?
15:34Honestly.
15:36The first time we all trained together.
15:38The cast bonded like a real team.
15:40So much sweat.
15:41So much laughter.
15:42So much pain, too.
15:44But, it was worth it.
15:45Another special moment was watching James Earl Jones deliver his lines.
15:52That voice.
15:53Man.
15:53It gives you chills in person.
15:55And, of course, the ending of the first film.
15:57That scene with Philip.
15:59Brothers for life.
16:01Come to Vegas for our best event on October 12th of this year.
16:06So, Susan.
16:06Thanks again for the beautiful jewelry and for your kindness.
16:10And, for asking such a thoughtful question.
16:13You made me feel very appreciated.
16:17Take care.
16:18Be well.
16:20And, remember, you are one of the best of the best.
16:26Peace out.
16:29Those are your best of the best balloons.
16:34Hey, Susan.
16:35Thank you so much for your warm welcome back.
16:38Feels great to be home.
16:39The overseas trip was wild.
16:41I had a blast, but nothing like getting back and seeing messages like yours waiting for me.
16:46Now, the ambulance.
16:48Wow.
16:49That takes me back.
16:50Playing that amateur detective with such a ride.
16:53And, I'm glad you caught that one.
16:55And, restraining order.
16:56You like the long hair?
16:58That was a funky look, wasn't it?
17:00I kind of dug it, too.
17:02Obviously.
17:03I mean, look at me now.
17:04Alright.
17:05Let's get to your questions.
17:06Martial arts.
17:08You know, I've always loved the discipline of it.
17:10The focus.
17:11The physicality.
17:12The combination of art and control.
17:14I am no black belt.
17:15But, I've trained enough to hold my own when a scene calls for a kick or two.
17:19Those impressive kicks you mentioned?
17:21I'll take that compliment.
17:23Pre-filming rituals.
17:25Yeah.
17:27I do have a few.
17:28I like to find a quiet spot before a scene.
17:32Breathe.
17:33Center myself and just drop in.
17:37Sometimes, they go over my lines out loud.
17:39Sometimes, I just sit and visualize.
17:42And, if I'm playing someone intense, like say a certain doctor you might have seen me play,
17:48I might do a little Beck style pacing before they call action.
17:53And, as for hair, I've had all kinds of hair over the years.
17:57Long, short, curly, slick back.
17:59Even blonde once or twice.
18:01Susan, thank you for your thoughtful questions and the kind words.
18:06Keep watching.
18:07Keep smiling.
18:09And, hey, maybe I'll grow that long hair again someday just for you.
18:15Peace out.
18:21Hey, Susan.
18:23It's Eric Roberts.
18:24First off, thank you for noticing the glasses.
18:27I appreciate that.
18:28You know, I actually started wearing glasses a little later than most people.
18:32My eyes had been fine for years.
18:34Then, one day, ba-boom.
18:36The menus got smaller.
18:37The strips got blurrier.
18:39And, I said, okay.
18:40Time to face it.
18:41Somewhere in my late thirties.
18:43Now, I'm going to see you.
18:44I'm going to see you.
18:44I actually kind of love them.
18:45My favorite brand.
18:47I've gone through a few.
18:49But, right now, I'm liking anything Dr. Helen S. suggests.
18:54Not too big for my face.
18:55Bipocals.
18:57Now, as for Janet Jackson.
18:59Oh, yeah.
18:59I love her.
19:00Always have.
19:01My favorite, probably, probably that's the way love goes.
19:08It's just smooth, timeless, and a little hypnotic.
19:12Speaking of music.
19:14Thank you for all the remixes of the Keaton Simon songs.
19:17And, the beautiful Pain montage.
19:21Amazing.
19:21Just like you.
19:23So, thanks for the sweet note.
19:24And, for making me smile right back at you.
19:27Be good.
19:28Take care of those eyes.
19:30And, remember.
19:31If you ever lose your glasses.
19:34Call her to back.
19:37All my love, baby.
19:43Susan, I feel like we're old friends.
19:45That's why I don't have to introduce myself to you in this cameo.
19:49I'm not surprised that you mastered the art of following an audio book with a printed book and or vice
19:54versa.
19:55You have an incredible audio sense.
19:57We love the musical remixes.
20:01First of all, we're honored that you've grown so familiar with Keaton's music.
20:05Second of all, we adore the music you send us.
20:09We love the earrings you send us.
20:11We love hearing it from you, Susan.
20:12There are so many behind the scenes moments in Less Than Perfect.
20:18That whole show is like a big blooper reel.
20:21Andrea.
20:22Andrea used to try to convince the costume department to stop spending budget on designer shoes.
20:27Because she played most of the scenes in her comfy flat slippers.
20:31Zachary Levi barely believed us when we predicted he'd become a huge in-demand star.
20:37Our show, Censor, is now the censor on Jimmy Kimmel.
20:42And his daughter, Ivy Walk, was in Anora.
20:47We remain close friends with Ted Wasp, our director, and the entire cast and much of the crew.
20:52The less than days were more than.
20:55And as a proudest moment you asked about?
20:58Well, love seemed to always occur every time I look at my grandchildren.
21:03I simply can't get over them.
21:06Speaking of things to be thankful for.
21:10Sending you love, Susan.
21:11Peace out.
21:20I hope my hand goes off.
21:22Okay.
21:23Hi, Susan.
21:25Hi, sweetie.
21:26Alright, let's see what you asked here.
21:28Okay, this will be fun.
21:30Um, you asked, let me make this bigger, your request here.
21:36Um, okay.
21:38Let's see.
21:39So, so you're, so anyway, are you saying to us on behalf of your parents and sisters and you, Merry
21:46Christmas?
21:47Merry Christmas back.
21:48She, she introduced us to her parents and sisters.
21:51Merry Christmas, mom and dad, sis, and other sis.
21:54And Susan.
21:54Merry Christmas.
21:55Okay, so Susan said she watched King of the Gypsies.
21:57My first movie.
21:59Yes.
21:59And she believes this film deserves more recognition than ever before.
22:02Do you feel that way?
22:03Uh, I think, I think, I think it's a truly great film.
22:07Yeah.
22:07Yeah.
22:07A lot of people are watching it lately.
22:09It's really a good movie.
22:10Susan Sarandon played my mom.
22:12She's fantastic.
22:14Shelley Williams plays my grandmother.
22:16She's fantastic.
22:18Sterling Hayden is great.
22:19He plays my grandfather.
22:20Um, Judd Hirsch is great.
22:22He plays my hateful father.
22:23And, uh, uh, it's just, and Frank Pearson wrote it.
22:28He won, he won an Oscar for Cat Baloo.
22:30He wrote, he wrote Dog Day Afternoon.
22:31Great writer.
22:32Cool director.
22:33Had a great time working with him.
22:35Uh, and, uh, I was scared every day.
22:38Cause it was your first?
22:39My first movie, yeah.
22:40So, um, now Susan said you have pretty good singing chops.
22:44Um, that can blow pop imposters away.
22:47So how did you feel about your singing in the movie era?
22:49Oh, I, I, I don't sing well.
22:51Uh, be my love and with your kisses said me, Bernie.
22:54I still remember that song.
22:55Uh, yeah, no, I, I, I'm not a singer.
22:59And Susan has done the most beautiful remixes of Keaton songs.
23:02Well, I have a stepson, you know, Keaton.
23:03You know, he's a singer and he sings like an angel.
23:08Oh, okay.
23:09Here's some questions.
23:09Do you have any favorite behind the scenes moments from C16?
23:14We love that joke.
23:15Uh, that was a cool ride.
23:17It's a shame it didn't last.
23:19Uh, I think, I think when I said to D.B. Sweeney, you should not be messing around with the
23:28actresses.
23:29And he said, none of your business.
23:31And I said, okay.
23:33Okay, he was playing practical jokes on them.
23:35But he was very, very funny.
23:36Um, but, but okay, Eric, do you, how did you like wearing a beard for that whole show?
23:41Well, I have trouble growing a beard.
23:43And that was how many years ago?
23:45A while back.
23:46A while back.
23:46It was like.
23:47In the 90s.
23:4715, 18 years ago.
23:48Even longer, huh?
23:4925, 26, 27 years ago.
23:51It was a long time ago.
23:52I think so.
23:53When I could grow even less beard.
23:56Yeah, but you did it.
23:56Was it itchy?
23:57Yeah, all the time.
23:58Okay.
23:59Um, and you and Richard Gere are still friends, right?
24:03When you run into each other?
24:04Yeah, we say hi.
24:05Yeah.
24:05At Sundance.
24:06Didn't we have a nice time with him at Sundance?
24:08He's a lovely man.
24:09Okay.
24:09He's a great actor.
24:10Okay.
24:10And this one's for me.
24:11So let me go to where, because I can see if I'm actually popping in.
24:14Um, which pair of earrings that you commissioned do I like best?
24:18Oh my gosh.
24:18I just took those earrings to the bead lounge here.
24:23Um, and because I said to them, I, I want to be sure if, if anything ever happens
24:30to any of these, like one of the kids pulls on it or anything like that, will they
24:33be able to repair because we love them so much?
24:34And they were all admiring them.
24:36I love the pinks and the lavenders and I love the blues and I, I don't even know, but
24:42we wear them all the time.
24:44So it depends on what outfit.
24:45I like things to match.
24:47So, um.
24:48I can answer that question.
24:49Okay.
24:49Go ahead.
24:49She likes the pink the best.
24:51Yeah.
24:52Of course.
24:52I love the pink.
24:53Yeah.
24:53Anyway, you're just a wonderful friend, Susan.
24:55We really appreciate you.
24:56Send love to the family.
24:57I hope they see this.
24:58Mwah.
24:59Mwah.
24:59Happy holidays.
25:00Merry, Merry Christmas, you guys.
25:02Happy New Year.
25:02You can see, for the grandkids, we have a pink tree.
