Police say around two hundred and fifty cannabis plants were discovered inside a property in Windy Nook. Officers have secured a closure order while investigations continue to identify those responsible.

00:07drugs operation was uncovered in Gateshead. Northumbria Police say around 250 plants were
00:14found inside a property in Windy Nook, where officers also discovered electricity had been
00:19bypassed. Nobody was found at the address and enquiries are continuing to identify those
00:24responsible. Working with Gateshead Council, Police have secured a closure order preventing
00:30access to the property for at least three months. Officers at the force say they remain
00:36committed to tackling drug-related crime across the area and to protecting local communities from harm.
