00:00Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be participating in the yoga celebrations also coming in but first
00:05the Bengal Day celebrations in Hooghly on 20th June. PM will be launching, dedicating and laying
00:11the foundation stone of various development projects across railways, agriculture, rural
00:15development and fisheries. We'll kickstart the rollout of several key central agricultural
00:21schemes in Bengal. Remember this is going to be very significant now. PM Modi is going to go to
00:27not an opposition state but a BJP governed state. Mamata Didi era is over. BJP era begins
00:34in Bengal. So what has been decided? Immediately all the national schemes that are going to be
00:40implemented there. I want to immediately bring in Indrajit Kundu for the latest on that.
00:44Indrajit, tell me, so what is the plan this time of Prime Minister Modi because this visit
00:49is like none other to Bengal. Oh, that's right. You know, it's a big visit, important visit.
00:56This, of course, comes soon after the last one that he made at the historic Brigade Parade
01:02ground where he was part of the victory celebrations as well as the swearing in of the first BJP
01:08chief minister in West Bengal. This, of course, would be second visit after the BJP's victory
01:13in the state. And it's a two-day visit. Tomorrow, he would be taking part in the Pushimbongo
01:21Divasht or West Bengal Day commemoration. This is something that is very close to the BJP's heart,
01:26ideologically very close because June 28th is the date on which the Bengal Assembly in 1947
01:32had passed the resolution for setting up of the state of West Bengal. The BJP has been celebrating
01:38this day for several years now. However, during Mamata Banerjee's regime, she had proposed Poyla
01:45the first day of the Bengali calendar as Pushimbongo Divasht. But now the BJP government,
01:52of course, is moving back to what it used to celebrate officially as a political party.
01:58But now it will be commemorated officially by the West Bengal government. In that sense,
02:03this is very, very important. It is a homage to Shama Prasad Mukherjee on his, you know,
02:08birth land and none other than Prime Minister flying down. The next day, of course, on Sunday,
02:13that is June 21st, the International Yoga Day celebrations will be taking place in which
02:18the Prime Minister will be taking part and participating in the yoga festivities along
02:23with thousands of people at the Red Road in Kolkata. Indraji, thank you for all the latest.
02:30So, this is going to be a visit about implementation of massive schemes that for many years, in fact,
02:37has evaded Bengal. Is Bengal set to change under BJP government?
