00:00As the war in Iran was in its most high intensity, it consumed all of America's focus.
00:06So this, of course, impacted the war in Ukraine.
00:12But again, a bit like the question about the Iran war, that is, how genuine is the United States in
00:19putting that war to an end?
00:21Or are they simply doing a strategic pause or a tactical pause for regrouping?
00:27It remains to be seen.
00:28And again, this has been one of the lessons of Russia as well, looking at the war against Iran.
00:33That is, to what extent are the US diplomatic efforts, are they ruse or are they being genuine?
00:41Because initially, Moscow thought that Trump wanted to put a quick end to this war.
00:46But thereafter, it seems like the focus has shifted more to simply outsourcing the war to the Europeans.
00:54That being said, though, I think the US obviously overplayed its hand with Iran, and it appears that this has
01:00also been the case against Russia.
01:02Now, I think ideally, the United States would simply have the Europeans fight Russia, that is, to gradually bleed the
01:09Russians' strategic adversary, while the Europeans would essentially carry the cost of this.
01:15So they would probably, you know, a bit like the Europeans, they want to keep this war going.
01:19But I think now there's some concern in Washington that the war is spiraling out of control.
01:26So it's hard.
01:28I'm cautious to make predictions, but I do think that it's a good possibility that Trump might want to put
01:34an end to this war as well.
