00:00The FBI says they busted a planned explosive drone attack at the White House. The would-be
00:04terrorists were allegedly targeting Sunday's UFC Freedom 250 event on the South Lawn.
00:10Five suspects are in custody, but the feds think the whole plot could include up to a dozen people.
00:15Here's how the FBI says everything was set to unfold in this multi-phase terror attack.
00:21Explosive-laden drones were allegedly going to be used to strike buildings in the vicinity of the
00:26event. The fiery explosions would then spark mass panic and drive the fleeing crowd toward a sniper
00:32team poised to pick victims off. Authorities believe a second wave of attackers would then
00:37activate to storm the White House gate. It sounds wild. It sounds terrifying. It sounds deadly.
00:43But luckily, none of these plans were put in motion after 19-year-old Tyson Proper was arrested on June
00:4810th in Ohio. His mother tipped off authorities about concerns over her son's, quote, recent conduct,
00:54including firearms purchases and communicating with certain individuals online. Additional arrests
01:00took place in California, Nebraska, and Missouri. An affidavit in the case said that the suspect's
01:05alleged motivations included, quote, government corruption, the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein
01:10files, data centers taking up all the water in communities, and other government actions.
01:15Even though the president told us we would see the details of that Iran memorandum later this week,
01:21Axios managed to get their hands on the 12 points that are part of the plan.
01:24Earlier reports said it was a 14-point agreement, so we'll see if there are two bonus points
01:31floating around out there when more official details roll out. So what's actually in or
01:35not in the document? Here's The Post's Washington reporter, Caitlin Dornbos.
01:39The U.S. has not formally released the text of the document, but according to our sources and
01:45leaked versions of the document, at least, we can say that the memorandum does address
01:54the start of nuclear talks. It does address Iran pledging never to pursue a nuclear weapon,
02:01but it doesn't address a lot of the specifics that U.S. officials have been telling us will be
02:07ultimately dealt with in a final deal that will be hopefully signed by the U.S. and Iran after a
02:15series of 60 days of negotiations that will start after the Friday signing of the document at a
02:21ceremony. Now, remember this document that still hasn't been released was signed electronically by
02:27the U.S. and Iran on Sunday, so we're still figuring out a lot of the details anyway.
02:36What's not in the document is a pledge for Iran to get rid of its enriched uranium. There is a
02:45portion
02:45in there that says that the U.S. and Iran will discuss what to do with the enriched uranium, but
02:53it
02:53doesn't explicitly say that that uranium will absolutely be destroyed and or removed from Iran.
03:00It also doesn't say anything about Iran's ballistic missiles. That's been a massive
03:08security concern for Israel for years. It also doesn't address really any concrete
03:20formal concessions that Iran will have to make, just the opportunity for those concessions to be
03:28discussed in the future. The memorandum described that the U.S. will waive sanctions on Iran regarding
03:35its oil sales, allowing it to recoup massive amounts of money for selling its oil that has been not only
03:43sanctioned in the past, but also over the past weeks have been targeted with the U.S. blockade on
03:51Iran. That blockade also will be lifted as part of this agreement. Now, Iran will have to reopen the
03:58Strait of Hormuz and not charge a fee for that process, at least for 60 days, but the agreement
04:07in text actually gives Iran authority over the strait. They will be the ones required to reopen the
04:14strait. So you're actually giving more control, really, to Iran over the waterway, kind of implicitly.
04:22The memorandum also paves the way for the creation of a $300 billion fund to rebuild Iran. Vice
04:28President Vance has suggested that that would be funded by Iran's neighbors in and around the Gulf.
04:32And another thing that doesn't seem to be in the deal is regime change. President Trump weighed in on
04:38that issue during a meeting with Qatar's leader on the sidelines of the G7 summit.
04:41Now, you talk about regime change. I never cared about regime change. It's never a part.
04:46But back in February, President Trump said this. Do you want regime change in Iran? Well, it seems
04:53like that would be the best thing that could happen. Critics of the deal have already begun asking how
04:57all of this is an improvement from the state of things before the war began. We're learning more
05:02about the tragic B-52 crash at Edwards Air Force Base in California this week. The first victim to be
05:08publicly identified was Miles Middleton. He was a former Air Force Test Squadron commander working
05:13as a B-52 test pilot for the plane's manufacturer, Boeing. Middleton had commanded the 419th Flight
05:20Test Squadron from 2060 to 2018. The squadron oversees the Global Power Bomber Combined Test Force,
05:27which is responsible for testing some of the military's most powerful aircraft. Tuesday night,
05:31the wife of a second victim, Jeremy Smith, confirmed her husband was lost in the tragedy. He was a Defense
05:37Department civilian. He was a flight test engineer and leaves behind a two-year-old and a four-month
05:42old. As of Tuesday evening, the other six victims had yet to be identified. The B-52 Stratofortress,
05:47a nuclear-capable subsonic jet-powered strategic bomber, crashed shortly after takeoff Monday
05:52morning. Investigators are looking into how in the world this crash happened, but admitted it could
05:58take months to figure out the root cause. The plane was old, but authorities say it was heavily upgraded.
