00:12Prime Minister Dato' Sri Anwar Ibrahim says the plan could strengthen economic ties,
00:16but stresses it remains a framework at this stage and its success will depend on implementation.
00:24The programme expected to be adopted later in 2026 outlines cooperation in trade, investment, technology and climate resilience between ASEAN
00:34and Russia.
00:34Speaking at the ASEAN-Russia Business Forum, Anwar said governments can set the policy direction and remove barriers,
00:42but real progress depends on businesses, investors and innovators.
00:46We are not utilising the enormous potential in ASEAN, the potential in Tatarstan and in Russia.
00:55Therefore, you in the private sector, the business community, should play this.
01:02Because as far as governments and leaders are concerned, we are committed to ensure that we can enhance this collaboration
01:12and expand multilateral cooperation.
01:16Anwar is currently in Kazan, Russia for the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit till Thursday,
01:22where he is also expected to meet Russian President Farmer Putin.
