Ica is a coastal region in Southern Peru. Its a land of extreme contrasts: immense desert sand dunes, fertile valleys and vineyards, and exotically twisted and intertwined Huarango trees.

Ica is also the name of the provincial capital city. Its a name synonymous with Pisco Perus famous grape brandy, the ocean, and adventure travel.

The city is also a starting point for visits to the Nazca Lines, the Paracas National Reserve and the desert oasis of Huacachina.

Ica hosts the traditional Vendimia wine festival during the grape harvest every March.
The region also attracts visitors to the festival of Señor de Luren in Ica, and the Virgin del Carmen in Chincha, a town with strong ties to Afro-Peruvian culture and music..
