00:02Dannon filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court on Monday,
00:05accusing Chobani of inflating protein claims on labels for its Chobani 20G protein yogurt,
00:10according to Reuters. The Dannon parents said Chobani expanded serving sizes on multi-serving
00:15tubs without adding more yogurt, making the protein per serving count misleading.
00:20Dannon's Oikos Pro delivers 20 grams of protein per 5.3-ounce serving, the standard industry size.
00:26Dannon said Chobani, 20G protein more closely resembles Oikos triple zero,
00:32a lower-priced product with 15 to 18 grams of protein per serving.
00:36Dannon argued Chobani's alleged mislabeling is especially harmful given that health care
00:40providers and the federal government are actively steering consumers toward high-protein foods.
00:45The lawsuit marks at least the fourth legal dispute between the two Greek yogurt rivals since 2016.
