00:02June 2026 is shaping up to be quite a month.
00:05I don't know how big your backlog is, but it's about to get bigger.
00:08And every month we round up the biggest upcoming games that we're most likely to talk about.
00:13I'm not necessarily telling you you're going to love every one of these games,
00:16but then again, any of them could end up being your next favorite game.
00:18I don't know. Hi, folks, it's Falcon.
00:20Join the 1% Club and get the truly unhinged stuff.
00:23Today on Gameranx, the top 10 new games of June 2026.
00:27Starting off at number 10, we have got Killer Bean.
00:30Frankly, a game that sounds like a bet of some kind.
00:34Like I bet I could make this game and release it and people will talk about it.
00:38I don't know.
00:39It is about a bean who kills other beans.
00:42It's kind of like a John Wick, but a bean type game.
00:46You know, expansive genre.
00:48Lots of John Wick, but bean type games.
00:51But yeah, this kind of came out of like some cult internet animation weirdness.
00:56And now it kind of looks like Max Payne by way of John Wick.
01:00Also, bean.
01:01The story is straight up action movie nonsense.
01:04Killer Bean is betrayed by the Shadow Agency.
01:07So now he's blasting his way through a criminal underworld made of beans.
01:11All of them are beans.
01:12I don't know. This is just a crazy looking game to me.
01:14It looks like it's actually pretty damn good.
01:16It's been play tested and people have given some pretty positive feedback.
01:20But now they're fully entering early access on June 8th.
01:24And I think I'm not alone when I say I'm going to flick the bean.
01:28I don't get to say that very much.
01:30I don't have a bean in that respect.
01:32So I'm taking the bean by the horns.
01:34Hey, so getting YouTube videos out there just seems to be getting harder.
01:38I've pointed a finger at shorts quite a bit.
01:41And I do think that's a big thing.
01:43But also, the algorithm does some crazy stuff.
01:45So if you want to do us a big favor and make sure that you see all of our videos,
01:49enable notifications.
01:51At number nine, we have Star Fox coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
01:54Which is completely insane to say.
01:57It is a full remake of Star Fox 64.
02:00Which I don't want to get into the remake-ception that is the Star Fox series.
02:03I'm just psyched that they've stopped trying to make quote unquote different games.
02:08By rebooting here at Star Fox 64, Nintendo is saying this is Star Fox.
02:13So any future Star Fox games we can expect to follow this.
02:18See, if this was just a re-release with an up-res and maybe some better character models or character
02:23art,
02:24it wouldn't be that.
02:25But by fully remaking it, putting all their attention into it, and adding narrative cutscenes,
02:30what they're saying is that this is Star Fox.
02:34And I absolutely, I know it's controversial, but I love the character models.
02:38They look like the old puppets from the Star Fox Super Nintendo era commercials.
02:43And the box art.
02:45And when I say they look like it, I mean they look a lot like it.
02:48Like they have that grotesque late 80s, early 90s puppet look.
02:51And I just, I love it.
02:53I'm so on board for this Star Fox remake.
02:56It's exactly what Nintendo needed to do with the franchise.
02:58And then they need to follow it up later with a game that follows this formula,
03:03but gives us new stuff.
03:04That is the promise of the Star Fox Switch 2 remake.
03:07I cannot see how they wouldn't deliver on this.
03:10I mean, it's a fantastic game and they're preserving all the level layouts.
03:13It's hard for me to imagine them screwing this up,
03:16especially after like hinting at it by dropping Fox into the Mario Galaxy movie.
03:21They've been thinking about this a while.
03:22I'm super excited for Star Fox.
03:24It's coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25th.
03:29At number eight is Hollow Body.
03:31What is being called a tech noir survival horror game.
03:34It's a game that came out on PC back in 2024,
03:37but it's going to be landing on consoles this month.
03:40It's basically a love letter to early 2000 survival war.
03:43It's got fixed and dynamic camera angles, limited resources, environmental puzzles, grimy apartments, which, yeah, that's basically what those games
03:52were back then.
03:53You're somebody who is looking for her missing partner in a sealed off exclusion zone in an abandoned British city.
04:01The console version is also arriving feature complete with all of the post launch PC updates, including optional puzzles, some
04:08new locations, more lore, some quality of life fixes and a third person camera mode, as well as I'm sure
04:14some other things.
04:15That's good news, because honestly, it's pretty damn interesting game.
04:19Hollow Body is landing on PS4 and Xbox series June 4th.
04:24Man, number seven is NBA The Run, basically a spiritual successor to NBA Street.
04:30It's kind of the game a lot of people have been begging for amidst, you know, badge grindy realism fests
04:38that aren't really that realistic.
04:39They're just very, I guess, in a lot of ways, tedious.
04:42The Run is a fast paced online three versus three street basketball game that has cranked up the arcade, which
04:50just let me go ahead and say that's what a basketball game needs.
04:54I know there are people that really like the heavy simulation stuff, but I miss NBA Street and NBA Jam
05:00for that matter.
05:01There's a little bit of that in the sauce.
05:03There's sort of a four round tournament that goes on during the course of the game, but really the appeal
05:08is the gameplay.
05:09The arcade basketball energy has just basically vanished.
05:13And every sports game, not just basketball, but every sports game is like an annualized economy simulator where a lot
05:20of the time is spent in menus.
05:22For me, a $30 arcade basketball game launching outside that machine, I'm there.
05:27NBA The Run is landing on PC, PS5 and Xbox series June 9th.
05:33Man, number six, we've got EA Sports UFC 6, which is kind of the other end of the spectrum.
05:38We did just dump a bit on sports games for being annualized roster economies, more or less.
05:44It's important to note that UFC 6 is not an annual release.
05:47The last mainline game was UFC 5, which came out in October of 2023.
05:54Doesn't automatically mean it's safe from a lot of EA nonsense, but I actually do think the UFC games justify
06:01themselves.
06:02A, by not doing it annually and B, actually adding and making the games more interesting or at least something
06:10else.
06:11The big feature they've been talking about for this one is called Flow States, which is a new system built
06:16around making fighters more distinct from one another.
06:19EA says there's 30 unique fighter flow states in the game, which they sort of tie into counters, grappling and
06:27all that stuff, which I do like the idea of each player feeling more distinct.
06:31It's not like UFC has a huge problem with that in previous games, but I definitely like that it's something
06:37they're going further with here.
06:39These are generally pretty good games. UFC 6 is landing on PS5 and Xbox series June 19th.
06:47At number five is Witchspire, an open-world co-op witch adventure from Envar Games.
06:53It kind of asks the question, what if Valheim but witches?
06:56You get the whole broomstick fantasy, the survival crafting, and you get familiars and magic combat and all that stuff.
07:03The basic loop is exploration, gathering of resources, crafting gear, fighting monsters, leveling up, customizing a skill tree, and building
07:12up a base, or as it's called here, a sanctuary.
07:15The additional thing is kind of Familiars. It's kind of like Pokemon, except not quite.
07:21Like, Persona technically is a game about familiars, or if you've ever played Ni No Kuni.
07:27It's not as though it's not entirely removed from Pokemon, but it's not exactly the same thing as Pokemon either.
07:32Pokemon is certainly actually derived from the concept of familiars, or at least I think it is.
07:36Doesn't matter. The game is hitting early access on June 10th for PC, and it does look like a kind
07:43of Xbox fable-adjacent affair.
07:46Although, granted, it's not that. It's definitely a different kind of game, but it's got that feel to it, you
07:52know?
07:52Or at least hopefully it does. We'll see when it comes out. Which it does on Steam June 10th.
07:57At number four, it's Kappa City. A football manager sim, or maybe more accurately, an economic strategy game.
08:05More an event management simulator than the direct football management.
08:09You're neither the coach nor the player, but the organizer of the event.
08:14You basically handle everything going in. So you need to have the venue set up, you need to have snacks
08:20available,
08:21the restrooms working, you should ideally be prepared for riots, that type of stuff.
08:27Crowd control. It's an interesting game. It's not what normally is focused on with these types of things.
08:32But hey, you're in Rio de Janeiro, and you're creating the atmosphere for the game.
08:37Games landing on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series June 16th.
08:42At number three is Solar Punk. A survival game that takes place in what is technically an advanced world,
08:47rather than a primitive one where you wake up in your underwear.
08:51You build sky bases, grow food, craft gadgets, automate systems, and explore distant islands with an airship.
08:57You can play it in single player or in co-op, and it looks pretty damn cool.
09:01So it's kind of like a survival game if you throw in some satisfactory a bit.
09:08And also the top layer of Tears of the Kingdom's world, the floating islands, I guess.
09:13It is an extremely different looking game for a survival game.
09:17I don't think it's going to blow you away with its graphics or anything.
09:20Kind of cartoony, but it's a lot cozier than you would expect a survival game.
09:25I'm not sure if I would say that it comes off like Stardew Valley necessarily, but I also think that's
09:31somewhere in the recipe.
09:32Solar Punk is landing on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 June 8th.
09:39At number two, it's the Gothic 1 remake.
09:41THQ Nordic and Alchemia Interactive are rebuilding the 2001 cult classic entirely,
09:48which brings you back to the Valley of the Mines, a prison colony where societies collapsed into factions,
09:54there's labor exploitation, and basically nobody likes you.
09:58The original Gothic was legendary because it was hostile, reactive, and very alive, albeit pretty janky.
10:04NPCs had routines, factions were a big thing, the world did not care how you were interacting with it,
10:11it was going to do what it was going to do, and this remake is promising a faithful but modernized
10:16open world RPG.
10:17Now, by modernized, it doesn't seem like they secretly mean we removed all the personality and added lots of icons.
10:26It seems like the personality is being retained, which is good, and also they're building on top of it.
10:32There's some expanded, underused locations, there's some new side quests, orc culture is apparently fleshed out.
10:39So rather than taking away, it seems like there's a little bit of addition, and the additions seem to be
10:44in the visuals and the quality of life.
10:46I'm super interested in what the hell this is, and I'm absolutely playing it when it launches on June 5th
10:51on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
10:55And finally, at number one, it's Hell Let Loose Vietnam, a shifting of the series from World War II to
11:01the Vietnam War.
11:02It doesn't change what Hell Let Loose is, you got the massive battles, the teamwork, the communication, 50 versus 50
11:10tactical warfare.
11:11However, the setting of the Vietnam War is far more asymmetrical.
11:16Like, the U.S. vastly outstripped Vietnam in terms of power.
11:21Helicopters, explosive munitions, I mean, the whole military industrial complex.
11:27Whereas, uh, Vietnam essentially fought guerrilla warfare against us, and won, historically speaking.
11:33I'm not sure if that's how it goes in this game.
11:36I'm sure it goes one way or the other quite often, on account of their 50 versus 50 battles, and
11:41it's an ongoing thing.
11:43But, to me, that's perhaps the most intriguing aspect of this.
11:47It's just that Vietnam is a completely different war than World War II.
11:51One that forces kind of a different kind of game, despite it really not being a different kind of game.
11:56Again, retaining basically everything that makes Hell Let Loose, Hell Let Loose.
12:00I'm pretty excited for and interested in exactly how this works, because you don't really have this kind of scale
12:07in an asymmetrical sense that often in terms of online shooters.
12:11A lot of the time, the asymmetrical stuff is restricted to the, you know, like, Freddy or Big Monster or
12:17whatever, versus some survivors or tacticians of some sort.
12:22Hell Let Loose Vietnam is landing on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, June 18th.
12:28And I do have some bonus games for you.
12:30First, Day of the Diver in the Jungle, which sends Dave and the crew to the village of Utara, with
12:35a new grill focused on freshwater cuisine.
12:38A pretty healthy add-on, in my opinion, for Day of the Diver, a game that people really do enjoy.
12:43And then, perhaps on the other end of things, that being a ten-hour DLC, Xbox and Switch 2 are
12:50getting Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is, of course, an irresponsible amount of content.
12:55We love calling this an irresponsible game.
12:58It's so insane.
12:59And, let's be clear, they need to make the money so that they can make this third game.
13:05Exclusivity, just not a clever idea, honestly, was such a massive, irresponsibly budgeted game with so much work put into
13:12it.
13:12That's landing on Switch 2, June 3rd.
13:15And there's a bunch of cool stuff this month. What do you think?
