00:08People were terrified after many believed Oliver was planning something Atlantic Records
00:12did not want out.
00:13As just weeks before his life was taken, he publicly left the label, announced an independent
00:17world tour, told fans he does not own any of his own music, and even stated in his will
00:21that if anything ever happens to him, all of his money goes back to artists, with many
00:25alleging a legal battle over his masters may have been coming.
00:28One that Atlantic Records could not afford to lose.
00:30Many were even more suspicious after learning that Oliver's life was taken when another
00:34helicopter carrying only a pilot collided directly with his, despite every safety system in modern
00:40aviation being specifically designed to make sure two air pilots are never in the same airspace
00:44at the same time.
00:45Meaning either every single one of those systems failed, or this was done on purpose.
00:49But it gets worse as many pointed out that Oliver's life was taken in Brazil, thousands of miles
00:53away from the United States, where any formal investigation would be far harder to track
00:57and even harder to hold anyone accountable.
00:59Now I think a lot of these theories are just attempts to understand this shocking situation.
01:02There's no evidence that Atlantic Records had any involvement in what happened to Oliver,
01:06and we can obviously mourn without the conspiracy theories.
