00:00In one of Oliver Tree's last interviews before the helicopter crash,
00:03he described where he wants his wealth to go after he passes away.
00:07And it might not be what you expect.
00:09He said that he doesn't want his family to benefit from his wealth
00:11because he feels that the money doesn't even belong to him.
00:14My will is set up that when I pass, my family, no one's going to get a penny.
00:19I'll get my kids through college.
00:20That's the agreement.
00:21But they're not going to be a silver spoon.
00:23They're taken care of because my dad worked on some stuff in the 2000s.
00:27But rather, he wanted to redistribute his wealth back into the arts
00:30through his foundation that he set up.
00:32When I die, all the money is going to go back to artists.
00:35So I've set up a foundation.
00:36It's called Dr. Oliver Tree's Art Grants for Baby Geniuses.
00:40And it's set up so that basically the interest generated from my music
00:45will take mostly that, but there's also room for other money
00:48because when I die, my art will continue to have residuals
00:51and probably be worth more than it is now.
00:53He also said that it's set up in a way that it could help fund
00:55other artists in their work
00:57and that he hopes the foundation could last for at least 100 years.
01:02So now, Oliver Tree's tragic passing is potentially turned
01:04into one of the most wholesome legacies one could leave behind.
