00:01Hi, I'm Murray from Sesame Street, and I'm looking for the word on the street.
00:06What's the word on the street?
00:08Disguise.
00:09What does the word disguise mean?
00:12It means you dress up as something you're not.
00:15You put, like, a costume on.
00:17You put a hat on, you put glasses.
00:20Come on, let's try a disguise.
00:22Keep listening for the word disguise today on Sesame Street.
00:26Disguise.
00:27That's the word on the street.
00:53What now?
00:55Can you tell me how to get to go and play?
01:00Everything's A-OK.
01:03Friendly neighbors there, that's where we meet.
01:07Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?
01:13Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?
01:16Yay!
01:23Yeah, I think, too.
01:25You know, the fact that the frog's door is Andrew.
01:28Yeah, Andrew.
01:29And he's got a crown, too.
01:30Oh, yeah, shiny.
01:34Oh, hi.
01:35Chris is reading me a great story.
01:38Right, Chris?
01:38Yeah.
01:39OK, go on, go on, go on.
01:40You'll love it.
01:41So, the green frog told the princess, please help me.
01:46I used to be a prince, but I was turned into a frog.
01:51Oh, oh, by a wicked fairy, I bet.
01:54Yep.
01:55Yeah.
01:55Let's see.
01:56But, said the enchanted frog, if you'll kiss me, I'll turn back into a prince.
02:03Oh, I kiss him.
02:04I kiss him.
02:06Let's see.
02:06He was green with warts, but the princess liked him.
02:10Oh.
02:10That's sweet of her.
02:11Mm-hmm.
02:12Let's see.
02:13So, she kissed the frog and...
02:17Yeah.
02:18And?
02:19And?
02:19And she kissed the frog and what?
02:21What turned the page, Chris?
02:22Turned the page.
02:22I'm sorry, Abby.
02:23It's stuck.
02:24But it's stuck.
02:25Look, I'm sticking.
02:26What happened?
02:27It says, Spence, please, Christmas.
02:29Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
02:30So, she kissed the frog and...
02:33And, and, and, and...
02:34Presto!
02:36He was a prince.
02:38And they lived happily ever after.
02:41That's right.
02:42Look, it says it.
02:43And they became friends and lived happily ever after.
02:47Oh, thanks, Chris.
02:49Oh, you're welcome, Abby.
02:50Hey, listen, you better take your trash to Oscar.
02:52Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:53See you later.
02:54All right.
02:54Ah, thanks a lot.
02:56Ha, ha, ha, ha.
02:58What a story.
02:59I mean, a princess kisses a frog and turns him back into an enchanted prince.
03:06Ha, ha, ha.
03:06A frog, of all people, is an enchanted prince.
03:11Ha, ha.
03:11Well, I tell you, it just goes to show you.
03:15You never know who is a prince.
03:19Never say thank you to a grouch.
03:22Never, never, never, ever, ever, ever, never.
03:24Ha, ha.
03:25You know, someone on Sesame Street could be a prince.
03:29I'm sorry.
03:30I'm sorry.
03:31Uh, don't give me I'm sorry.
03:33It's too late.
03:35I just...
03:35You already said thank you.
03:37I just...
03:37Oh, I'm just going to quit while I'm ahead.
03:41Yeah, and take a long hike, too.
03:42Oh, it could be Oscar.
03:48Oh, wow.
03:50He's green, just like the frog in the story.
03:55Hmm.
03:56Ha, ha.
03:57And I reject your trash, too.
04:01Ow.
04:01Ha.
04:02Oh, wow.
04:05And no one could really be that grouchy.
04:10Hmm.
04:11Unless he was a prince who was turned into a grouchy.
04:18Once upon a time, in a story,
04:22handsome Prince Oscar lived in a golden trash can,
04:27and people brought him the finest trash,
04:30worn-out gold, and jewels,
04:33and he was nice.
04:36Your Highness.
04:37Oh, my Highness says thank you.
04:39You know, you're not so low yourself.
04:42Oh, Prince, there you are, my offering.
04:46Oh, thank you, beautiful peasant girl.
04:49No, thank you.
04:49Thank you, thank you.
04:51No, thank you.
04:51Appreciate it.
04:52It's lovely trash.
04:54A fairy grouch mother saw Prince Oscar being nice,
05:00and she didn't like it.
05:02Well, Eric, give my regards to Mary.
05:06Have a nice day, and hurry back.
05:09La-dee-da.
05:11Oh, yuck.
05:12He's saying thank you, and please, and la-dee-da.
05:18Oh, this has got to stop.
05:23She waved her wand and turned him into a grouch.
05:29I have brought you more trash, Prince Oscar.
05:35No, Oscar, a grouch formerly known as Prince.
05:40What kind of trash is this?
05:43Beautiful jewels?
05:44Yes.
05:45Pearls?
05:45Yes.
05:46Pearls?
05:46Beautiful pearls?
05:47What can I do with these?
05:49I'm a grouch.
05:50You!
05:50I know.
05:52My pig will love them.
05:54Piggy, piggy.
05:56Pearls before swine.
05:59Ah, yes.
06:02So, just like in the story, Oscar is a grouch
06:07until someone kisses him and turns him into a prince.
06:14And guess who's gonna kiss him?
06:17Me.
06:20Oh, Oscar.
06:21Oh, Oscar, Oscar, Oscar, Oscar.
06:26Oscar?
06:27What do you want, wand face?
06:29I, I want to kiss you.
06:32Huh?
06:33No, no, no, no.
06:34No, no, no, no.
06:36Please desist.
06:37Never kiss a grouch.
06:39But, but you're, you're not a grouch.
06:41You're a prince.
06:43Don't call me that.
06:44I'm a grouch.
06:45Prince.
06:46A grouch.
06:47Prince.
06:47Grouch.
06:48Prince.
06:49Grouch, grouch, grouch.
06:50Until I kiss you.
06:53Ha, ha.
06:54Prince.
06:55Ha, ha.
06:56Well, yes.
06:57Hey.
06:58Yes.
06:58No fair flying.
06:59Yes.
07:00No fair flying.
07:01Oh, boy.
07:05Oh, ah.
07:07Ha, ha.
07:08Didn't lay a lip on me.
07:10Ha, ha, ha.
07:11Now buzz away, fairy wings.
07:13Oh, but, Oscar, I'm just trying to help you, to kiss you.
07:17And to turn you back into a prince.
07:19But I'm a grouch.
07:22Ha, ha.
07:22Oh, golly.
07:24Oh, he went down again.
07:28Oh, I can't kiss him.
07:30Well, I'll just have to wait until he comes back.
07:34Whoa, what is that?
07:36A sign, no kissing.
07:39What?
07:40He's up.
07:42Now hear this.
07:44Huh?
07:44This is a no kissing zone.
07:46All kissers leave immediately.
07:50Whoa.
07:50Oh, he's down.
07:53Ha, he's up.
07:54To say I'm going down.
07:56Forever.
07:57Ha, ha.
07:57I'll be ordering in from Szechuan Grouch.
08:00Goodbye.
08:02Oh, dear.
08:03If he stays down there forever, I'll never be able to kiss him.
08:08Oh.
08:10Unless I go down there, too.
08:12Ha, ha.
08:14Ilia, kazoo.
08:15Ilia, kazan.
08:16Into the top of Oscar's can.
08:19Ha, ha.
08:19Ha, ha.
08:23Going down.
08:25Ha.
08:27She can't kiss me down here.
08:30Ha, ha.
08:31Hi, Oscar.
08:32It's Abby.
08:33Oh, she's going to kiss me.
08:35Mm-mwap.
08:37Missed me.
08:38Ha, ha.
08:38You kissed my billy goat, Lassie.
08:41Ha, ha, ha.
08:42Oscar.
08:43Oh.
08:44She's one persistent pixie.
08:46Where are you?
08:47Mm-mwap.
08:48Oh, you just kissed Spot, my pig.
08:53She never gives up.
08:55Ah, ha.
08:56Mwap.
08:57Mwap.
08:58Mwap.
08:59She's kissing the piñano.
09:01She's kissing everything.
09:03Oh, oh.
09:04Oh, no.
09:05I may be next.
09:06With my trampoline.
09:09What are you doing?
09:11Leaving.
09:13Oh.
09:18Oh.
09:18Oh.
09:19Oh.
09:20Mwap.
09:23Mwap.
09:23Mwap.
09:24Mwap.
09:24Mwap.
09:25Mwap.
09:25Hey, Oscar.
09:25Woo.
09:26Oh, hey.
09:27You.
09:28You're just the guy I want to see.
09:29You sell everything, Chris.
09:31Yeah.
09:31So you've got to give me a disguise so Abby won't know it's me, and she'll stop trying to kiss
09:37me.
09:38Kiss me.
09:39She wants to kiss me and turn me into a prince like the frog in the story.
09:43Huh?
09:48Where is Oscar?
09:51Hooper's door.
09:55There.
09:56Hey, you look terrible.
10:00Yeah.
10:00Hey, thanks.
10:02Ah, look at this.
10:03Now she'll never know it's me.
10:05What a perfect disguise.
10:06Then she'll leave me alone, too.
10:09Oh.
10:10It's her.
10:13Ah, Bond's the name.
10:15James Bond.
10:17Hmm.
10:18I, uh, Oscar!
10:20Oh, no!
10:21She knows it's me!
10:22Oh, Chris, Chris, you've got to help me.
10:25Protect me.
10:26She wants to kiss me.
10:27I just am trying to make you a prince again, prince.
10:31I'm not a prince.
10:32Arso?
10:33I'm not.
10:34Arso?
10:35I'm not.
10:35Arso!
10:36I'm not.
10:36I'm not.
10:37I'm out.
10:38French.
10:39Huh?
10:39I think I can fix this.
10:42You say you're not a prince.
10:44I am not a prince.
10:46Okay.
10:47Then let Abby kiss you.
10:49Kiss a grouch?
10:51Yeah, yeah.
10:52You see, if she kisses you and you don't turn into a prince, she'll know it's not like the frog
10:57story.
10:57And she'll leave you alone.
11:00Hmm?
11:01Won't you, Abby?
11:01Well, all right.
11:04If he doesn't turn into a prince after I kiss him, I'll leave him alone.
11:09Okay.
11:10Oh, he'll turn into a prince, all right.
11:14Oscar?
11:15Well, all right.
11:17Just one teeny tiny short kiss.
11:20I prefer a near miss.
11:23Hey, hey, hey, get ready for the kiss.
11:25Oh, oh, oh, wait, wait, wait, wait.
11:28Okay.
11:29Okay, good.
11:29Okay.
11:30Ready, set.
11:32Wait, wait, wait.
11:32Huh?
11:32You better stand back, because when he turns into a prince, there's going to be a loud bang and
11:37probably a lot of smoke.
11:39Yeah.
11:40Okay.
11:40Uh, I'll move back a little.
11:42Okay.
11:42Ready, set.
11:44Oh, wait.
11:45You better put your fingers in your ears.
11:47Uh, don't know why, but okay.
11:49Okay, yeah.
11:50Oh, and, uh, you too.
11:52Good, good.
11:54Okay.
11:55Ready, set.
11:57Okay.
11:58I wonder what'll happen.
12:01Keep it quick.
12:06Kiss!
12:11Yuck!
12:14Hey.
12:15It's, I'm still me.
12:17I'm here.
12:19Me, Oscar the Grouch.
12:21No prince.
12:22Well, Abby, I guess he's not a prince after all.
12:26Boy, what a letdown.
12:28Who was more fun when the frog became a prince?
12:32Well, that was an enchanted fairy tale frog, Abby.
12:35One in a million.
12:37Most frogs are just frogs.
12:39And if you kiss them?
12:40They stay frogs.
12:41And they like it.
12:43A frog is what they want to be.
12:44Yeah, like I want to be a grouch.
12:48I don't want to be a prince sitting on the throne.
12:54Rather be a grouch here in my can alone.
12:59Reading trashy papers full of yesterday's news.
13:05Or doing a grouchy dance with worn-out shoes.
13:13I don't want to wear a crown with diamonds that flash.
13:19Cause I got a better hat I found in the trash.
13:25A hat for a grouchy and shaggy fella.
13:29Standing in the range with a broken umbrella.
13:34I don't want to be a prince.
13:36No siree.
13:38Or some marquee.
13:39Or maitre d'.
13:41I need to be.
13:43I gotta be.
13:44I wanna be me.
13:48Oscar the Grouch.
13:53Oh Oscar, I don't care if you're not a prince.
13:56I love you just the way you are.
13:59No, no, don't get any ideas.
14:00Yes, I'm gonna get you.
14:01No, no, hey, hey, no, she's hugging me.
14:04Oh, some days you can't make a nickel.
14:07Oh, come on.
14:07Get away from me.
14:08Oh, you're so cute.
14:09I'm out of here.
14:11Hey.
14:12You're so cute.
14:12See you guys.
14:22Oh, you're so cute.
14:43Cause you're important.
14:45You're important to me.
14:49Important.
14:51You're important.
14:52Anybody can see.
14:55Important.
14:56You're important.
14:58You mean a lot to me.
15:01If your favorite tooth came loose.
15:04If you can't open up your juice.
15:07If there's no wind for your kite.
15:10Or your haircut didn't turn out right.
15:12I'll be there sure as can be.
15:15Cause you're important.
15:17You're important to me.
15:21Important.
15:22You're important.
15:24Anybody can see.
15:27Important.
15:28You're important.
15:30You mean a lot to me.
15:32You mean a lot to me.
15:34You mean a lot to me.
15:39You mean a lot to me.
15:44Hi.
15:45I'm Jack.
15:46Yeah.
15:46And Elmo's Elmo.
15:48And we're here to tell you about the most awesome word in the whole wide world.
15:51Well, what's the word, Mr. Jack?
15:52What's the word?
15:53Okay.
15:54The word is disguise.
15:57Disguise?
15:58Disguise.
15:58Well, what's a disguise?
16:00Disguise is when you change the way something looks.
16:02Yeah?
16:02To make it hard to tell what it is.
16:04Oh, a disguise.
16:06You know what, Elmo?
16:07I happen to be a master of disguise.
16:10No.
16:10Oh, yeah.
16:11In fact, I can totally disguise myself.
16:13And you would never, ever, ever even know it was me.
16:17No.
16:17Oh, yeah.
16:18Check out my disguise expertise in action.
16:21Oh, okay.
16:21Let's see this.
16:26Wow.
16:27Nice hat and glasses, Mr. Jack.
16:29Wait a minute.
16:30What?
16:31You knew it was me?
16:32Yes.
16:33Then you saw through my disguise.
16:34Well, Elmo guess so.
16:36Okay, all right.
16:37I just have to dig a little deeper in my treasure trove of disguises.
16:40Excuse me.
16:42Elmo will excuse you.
16:45Whoa.
16:52Mr. Jack, it's funny.
16:54What?
16:55You knew it was me again?
16:57Yes.
16:57But what about my disguise?
17:00Oh, sorry.
17:01That's it.
17:02I'm done.
17:02I guess my powers of disguise are no longer potent.
17:05I give up.
17:05Oh, but Mr. Jack, where are you going?
17:10Oh, oh, oh.
17:11Mr. Chicken, have you seen Mr. Jack Black?
17:14Aha!
17:15My disguise worked.
17:17Mr. Jack Black?
17:19That's right.
17:20It's me.
17:20I totally disguised myself as a chicken.
17:23Wow.
17:24Nice disguise.
17:28Disguise.
17:29Wow.
17:30Whoa.
17:32I think I just laid an egg.
17:34Mr. Jack is good.
17:35Yes, I am.
18:01Pretty as a picture.
18:07Ladies and canaries, here is Mr. Snuffleupagus to show us
18:13the letter B, the letter of the day.
18:17Here's Snuffy.
18:22The letter B, which starts my two favorite words, big and
18:28bird.
18:29Hey, nice B words.
18:31Big and bird.
18:33Wait.
18:35That's my name.
18:37That's why they are my favorites, bird.
18:40Ah, Snuff.
18:42Hey, you're supposed to be showing us the letter B, Snuff.
18:46Where is it?
18:47It's on my back, bird, which also starts with the letter B.
18:52Well, I see back and I see fur, Snuffy, but I don't see the
18:58letter B.
18:58Ladies and gentlemen, the letter B.
19:04Yeah, the letter B.
19:08Yay.
19:09Surprise.
19:11Oh, you got me, Snuff.
19:14The letter B.
19:15That was great, Slimey.
19:18Even better than in rehearsal.
19:21B is for bubble.
19:24B is for bubble.
19:27Bubble, bubble, bubble.
19:30Bubble, bubble, bubble.
19:35And B is your brother who brought you some.
19:38And B is better than any letter for bubble gum.
19:44And B is for bubble.
19:58And B is your brother who brought you some.
20:12And B is better than any letter for bubblegum.
20:19B is for bubbles.
20:25It was a day like any other in Begonia Park. Boring.
20:29I am so bored, said Bob.
20:32I got the blues, said Bob.
20:34Even the band got the blues, said Bob.
20:37But just then, a big blue bus bumped by.
20:41And the big bus brake to a bumpy start.
20:45And passersby began to cry.
20:47It's the bees, the bees, the big blue bus is full of bees.
20:52It's the bees, the bees, the big blue bus is full of bees.
20:57The bees burst on the big blue bus with blueberries and brie,
21:02baklava and barbecue, banana bread and broccoli.
21:06The bees buzzed by with buttered buns.
21:09The boys and bunch.
21:11They brought out bowls of buttermilk.
21:13The buzzing bees had come for brunch.
21:18Bring more bread.
21:20More baked beans.
21:23Baloney.
21:24Bonbons.
21:25Buttercream.
21:26Agonia Park was never better.
21:30Everybody bright and beaming.
21:32All because of this little letter.
21:34The little letter B.
21:38And now, the fabulous Kev Moe and his friends from Sesame Street.
21:43Yay!
21:45Yay!
21:46Woo!
21:47Woo!
21:48Woo!
21:50On Sesame Street, there's lots of folks to meet.
21:53And every one of them can be your friend.
21:55Yeah!
21:55Yeah, there's no need to worry if you're feathered or you're furry.
21:58It doesn't matter in the end.
22:01Yeah!
22:01You've got horns on your head.
22:03If you're orange, you're blue, or red, it's so, so very plain to see.

24:18We were playing ring toss
24:20Uh-huh, and I was winning
24:21I was winning, and now we can't play.
24:23There's a kid from outer space in our camp.
24:26Well, look at that.
24:29Welcome to Camp Wacky Lake.
24:31Do you want to play ring toss with Melba and Arnie?
24:36But, Counselor Agnes, we don't want to play with him.
24:40And why not, my little campers?
24:42He talks funny.
24:45He's green and has squiggly eyes that come up from the top of his head.
24:49And I bet he doesn't even know how to play ring toss.
24:53Ring toss with a Zork?
24:55Well, let me tell you something, campers.
24:58Just suppose you went to Little Zork's summer camp, or whatever they have there,
25:02and you wanted to play with his friends.
25:05And they thought you looked funny, and they thought you talked funny.
25:09And you probably wouldn't know how to play whatever it is they play there.
25:13Well, how would you feel, my little wacky campers?
25:17It wouldn't feel good.
25:18I wouldn't like it.
25:20Okay?
25:22Okay.
25:23Okay.
25:24You want to play ring toss?

30:17My name is Paul.
30:18I live in Germany.
30:20That's me with my dad and my little brother, Franz.
30:25My dad is a roofer.
30:27He works way up high.
30:29Making roofs for all kinds of buildings.
30:32Today he's making a special kind of roof called a thatched roof.
30:37It's made from reeds.
30:42That's Henning.
30:44He works with my dad.
30:46Henning is showing us how they use wire to hold the reeds together.
30:51First he puts the wire through a hole in a very long needle.
30:57The needle helps him push the wire through the reeds.
31:05Then he uses another needle to pull the wire back through.
31:17Then he ties a knot to hold the reeds down so the wind can't blow them away.
31:30During lunch break, my dad helps Franz and me to make a roof for our bird house.
31:37Even birds need a roof to keep them warm and dry.
31:43Some of the reeds stick out.
31:46My job is to pound them so everything looks nice and even.
31:54There, our bird house has a beautiful new roof.
31:58Thanks to me, meinem Bruder, und meinem Papa, the roofer.
32:05Ta-da!
32:07I did it!
32:08My very own thatched roof.
32:10Hm.
32:10Is it not beautiful?
32:12It sure feels good to have a roof over my head.
32:15Hey, you remind me of a bird house I saw in Germany.
32:18Why, thank you.
32:19But you see, I'm not really a bird house.
32:20Hey, you guys!

35:50Oh, and sometimes Elmo's skin itches.
35:55Oh, dear.
35:57Better!
35:59What's that, Dorothy?
36:00Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
36:01Dorothy wants to know, what do you do when the skin on your back itches?
36:06Oh, good question, Dorothy.
36:08Let's ask Mr. Noodle.
36:09Mr. Noodle!
36:11Oh, hey, Shade, a little help, please.
36:14Oh, thank you, Shade.
36:16Oh, oh, there you are, Mr. Noodle.

36:45No, that's your head.
36:47On your back.
36:49Your back, you know.
36:50Mr. Noodle has to itch his back on his back.
36:54Yeah, back there.
36:56Mr. Noodle can't reach his back.
36:58You can't reach your back on his back.
37:00Be careful, Mr. Noodle.
37:02Now he's dizzy.
37:04See, now he's itchy or dizzy.
37:06Don't give up.
37:08He needs something.
37:10Maybe there's something you can use to scratch your back, Mr. Noodle.
37:14He's on the floor.
37:16He's scratching his back on the floor.
37:19Look at him go.
37:20I don't think he's working.

38:00Mr. Noodle.
38:02Oh, poor itchy, itchy Mr. Noodle.
38:06What's that, Dorothy?
38:07Oh, okay.
38:09Dorothy wants to ask someone else.
38:11What do you do when the skin on your back itches?
38:17Dorothy, when my back itches, I scratch with this.
38:20A back scratcher.
38:23Ah.
38:25When the skin on my back itches, I like to rub it against a tree, Dorothy, like this.
38:35That feels good.
38:38Dorothy, when Annie and I both have itchy backs, we take turns scratching each other's back.
38:43You scratch my back, and I scratch yours.
38:48Thanks, everybody.
38:50Oh, and thank you, too, Dorothy.
38:52Now, Elmo will ask a baby.
38:54Do-do-do-do.
38:55Oh, hello, baby.
38:57Ha-ha-ha.
38:58Baby, what do you do when the skin on your back itches?
39:04Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:06Oh, thank you, baby.
39:08Kiss, kiss.
39:09Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss.
39:10Kiss, kiss, kiss.
39:11Kiss, kiss.
39:11Mm-mm-mm-mm.
39:13Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:16Aw, that baby was so cute.
39:19Ah-ha-ha.
39:21And now, Elmo has a question for oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-you.
39:26Yeah, you.

39:47Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:48Oh, and one, one chili goose.
39:51Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:52That tickles on the skin.

40:16Is drawer ticklish?
40:18Tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle.
40:20Ha-ha.

40:24Ha-ha.
40:25Ha-ha.
40:25Can a cupcake tickle your skin?

40:30But it can make your skin messy.
40:33Yum, yum.
40:34Ha-ha-ha.
40:35Ha-ha-ha.
40:35Can a ladybug tickle your skin?

40:46Yes.
40:47Feathers tickle your skin.
40:49Ha-ha-ha.
40:49Unless you're a bird.
40:51My skin is covered with feathers,
40:54and they don't tickle me at all.
40:56They just need to be fluff now and then.
40:59Ha-ha.

41:27Oh, hi there, Elmo.
41:29Hey, Elmo, did you know that your skin helps you feel things?
41:32Well, that's why I'm wearing this blindfold.
41:34You see, I'm going to feel something
41:36with the skin on my hands, and then I'm
41:38going to guess what that is without even looking.
41:41Now, now, watch this.
41:44Let me see.
41:46Oh, wait a second, wait a second.
41:47There's something now.
41:48Gee, I wonder what this could be.
41:50Arnie.
41:50No, no, no, don't tell me, Bird.
41:52Don't tell me.
41:53This feels kind of soft and fluffy-like,
41:56and it's sticking straight up like a shaggy rug.
42:00No, Arnie, you're touching.
42:01No, no, no, no, don't tell me, Bird.
42:03Don't tell me.
42:03I want to guess this.
42:04Now, now, now, let's see.
42:05Moving down.
42:06Oh, wait, wait, wait, there's more.
42:08There's so much more.
42:09Look at this.
42:10And this kind of feels roundish, and it's sort of,
42:12sort of squishy-like.
42:14And it's like a bath sponge.
42:16Yes, yes.
42:17I don't believe this.
42:18Let's see, moving on down.
42:21Oh, wait.
42:21This is interesting.
42:23Look at this.
42:24And this part's kind of smooth, and it feels sort of thin.
42:29And wow, it's-it's floppy.
42:31It's floppy like a garden hose.
42:33Gee, that's interesting.
42:35Wait a second.
42:36Hmm.
42:37Let me see here.
42:38Now, wait a minute.
42:39This right here is sort of fluffy and shaggy-like a rug.
42:42And this is sort of squishy, sort of squishy like a bath
42:45sponge.
42:46And it's kind of floppy like a garden hose.
42:48I know what this is.
42:49This is Bert.
42:50It's you, Bert.
42:51Is it?
42:51Bert?
42:52Yes, it's me, Artie.
42:54Bert?
42:54Who do you think it is?
42:55Oh, I knew it, Bert.
42:56I could tell because I could tell by feeling with my skin.
42:59Isn't that amazing, Bert?
43:00Isn't that amazing?
43:01Yeah, yeah, yeah.
43:01Great.
43:02Whatever.
43:03Yes.
43:03Yes.
43:03I'm going to go read in the bathroom.
43:05Well, but you-
43:06Ah!
43:07Well, uh, uh, uh, uh, so long, Elmo.
43:10Uh, hey, Bert.
43:12I-I didn't even know you wore a rug.
43:14Bert?
43:15Oh, Bert.
43:17Mom!
43:18Oh, thanks, computer.
43:20Boy.
43:21Elmo loves finding out about skin.
43:23Elmo's friend, Elaine, learned all about skin in school.
43:27And she taught Elmo all about it.
43:31One day at school, my teacher, Mrs. Michelson,
43:35asked our class what we could learn by looking at her skin.
43:42So we started to investigate.
43:45We could see that everybody's skin looked different.
43:49There was dark skin, light skin, and all different shades
43:55in between.
43:58My skin was dark, and Cassie had light skin with rosy cheeks.
44:06Then we looked at our skin through a magnifying glass.
44:12It makes things look bigger.
44:14We could see all sorts of things we never noticed before.
44:20There was hair growing out of our skin,
44:23and the front of our arms had more hair than the back of our arms.
44:29But the palms of our hands didn't have any hair at all,
44:34but they had lots of lines.
44:36So did the tips of our fingers.
44:39Some parts of our skin were smooth, like our cheeks.
44:44Some parts were real wrinkly, like our knuckles and elbows.
44:53Then we ran some water on our arms to see what our skin looked like
44:58when it was wet.
45:00The water didn't soak in.
45:02It just rolled right off.
45:04We could see how our skin protects our bodies.
45:11So even though everybody's skin looked different up close,
45:16our skin wasn't really very different at all.
45:22Wow, Elaine learned a lot about skin.
45:25But Elmo still wants to find out more.
45:28Don't you?
45:29How can we find out even more?
45:31Hmm.
45:34Boy, Elmo almost jumped out of his skin TV.
45:37Oh, good idea.
45:38We can watch the All About Skin channel on TV.
45:42Hey, yeah.
45:44Turn us off more, TV.
45:46Yeah.
45:48Welcome to the All About Skin channel.
45:50When it comes to skin, we've got you covered.
45:54And now the story of the girl who loved her skin.
45:59Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved her skin.
46:04I love my skin.
46:06Mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah.
46:07She loved it so much that she took very good care of it.
46:11When her skin got dirty, she washed it.
46:14Scrub-a-dub-dub.
46:16When her skin was out in the sun,
46:18she put sunscreen on to protect it.
46:21Rub-a-rub-rub.
46:22Huh?
46:25When her skin was cold, it got goosebumps,
46:28so she put on more clothes to warm her skin.
46:31Ah.
46:32And when her skin got hot, it sweated to help cool her off.
46:37Ooh.
46:39Ah.
46:41When she went roller skating,
46:43she protected her skin with special padding.
46:47But one day, she fell down and hurt her skin anyway.
46:51Oh, no.
46:51I got a boo-boo on my skin.
46:54Mwah.
46:56The girl's mother loved her skin, too,
46:59and knew just what to do.
47:01She washed the boo-boo, put ointment on it,
47:04and covered it up with a bandage to keep it clean.
47:08Thanks, Mom.
47:10My skin feels better already.
47:11And every day, the girl's skin felt better and better,
47:16until one day the boo-boo was gone.
47:19Her skin had healed itself.
47:22Whoa.
47:24Now I really, really love my skin.
47:26And from then on, the girl who loved her skin...
47:30Really, really loved.
47:32The girl who really, really loved her skin
47:35took really, really good care of it.
47:37Especially when roller skating.
47:40Hey, you're gonna love the skin you're in.
47:46I'm okay.
47:48And so is my skin.
47:49Whew.
47:51The end.
47:55Coming up next on the All About Skin Channel,
47:58that's Skincredible,
47:59followed by Skinny the Boo and Rumble Stilt Skin.
48:03Oh, that's TV.
48:05Wow.
48:07Skin is amazing.
48:08But Elmo still wants to learn even more about skin.
48:12Don't you?
48:13How can we find out even more?
48:16Why don't you look in a book?
48:17Hey, yeah.
48:18Can Book help Elmo find out more about skin?
48:22Sure.
48:23I'll give you the skinny on skin.
48:25My title is Even Animals Have Skin.
48:29Whoa, they do?
48:30Sure.
48:32Oh, oh, look.
48:34There's a puppy and a kitten.
48:37Aww.
48:38Like my title says, even animals have skin.
48:43Sometimes you can't see the skin because it's covered by fur.
48:46Oh, like Elmo.
48:47Or by feathers.
48:49Oh, pretty.
48:54Hey, come back here.
48:56I just lost my pictures.
48:58Well, not that one.
48:59Is that a snake?
49:01Yeah.
49:02As snakes grow, they shed their skin and have new skin underneath.
49:09Oh, cool.
49:11No, not you too.
49:13I don't believe this.
49:14Oh, what's that?
49:16A chameleon.
49:18Chameleons have skin that can change color.
49:21Oh, get out of town.
49:22Don't give him any ideas.
49:27Oh, look.
49:29Dorothy's imagining Elmo as a chameleon.
49:31Sometimes a chameleon's skin changes color when its feelings change.
49:36Oh, boy.
49:38No one's around to play with.
49:40Elmo chameleon is feeling a little sad and blue.
49:48Surprise!
49:51Wow, Elmo chameleon is polka dotted with surprise.
49:55Yeah.
49:57Oh, boy, those leaves tickle.
50:02Now, Elmo chameleon is tickled pink.
50:09Oh, thank you, Dorothy.
50:11And thank you, too, Book.
50:13Don't mention it.
50:15No, come back.
50:19Oh, that really gets under my skin.
50:22Oh, boy, Elmo loves skin.
50:25And so does Dorothy.
50:27That's why Dorothy wants us to sing the skin song.
50:30Oh, boy, the skin song.
50:33May I join in?
50:34Sure.
50:35Oh, boy.
50:35You can sing, too, if you want.
50:37Skin, skin, skin.
50:55Oh.
50:58Say goodbye, Dry Thing.
51:01Say goodbye, book.
51:02Dry book.
51:03Do-do-do, do-ba-ba-do, do-da-da-do, do-do-do.
51:09Skin!
51:10Skin!
51:10Do-do-do, skin, skin, skin, skin, skin, skin, skin, skin.
51:16It's almost wild!
51:20Buh-bye!
51:21Do you know Rainbow Connection?
51:26Okay, Slimerino, I'm gonna read you a grouch fairy tale.
51:30Yay!
51:31The Worm Prince.
51:34So.
51:36Yeah, Oscar.
51:38I love stories.
51:40Could you read it to me, too?
51:42No way.
51:43I'm reading this to my pet worm, Slimy.
51:46Aw, gee.
51:47Well, of course, if you stay here and listen, I can't stop you.
51:55Ready, Slimy?
51:56Yeah, ready!
51:57Okay, here we go.
51:58Once upon a time...
52:00Once upon a time...
52:03There's a handsome worm who turned into a prince.
52:07Too bad.
52:08Sesame Street was brought to you today by the letter B.
52:11And by the number 17.
52:14But he was really in a hole now.
52:16Oh!
52:16So, he went searching and searching.
52:18Oh, perfect!
52:38I can't believe it.
52:39Why may you touch one day?
52:44So, bye.
52:47You're welcome.
52:47You're welcome.
52:48I'm missing.
53:04Ha ha ha!
